    Good Points: Production of April - may seems the best. Unfortunately, no date any more on the wheel.


    Bad Points: Trying to age some late season milk too rich in fat to make a long run. Should not be exported too.


    General comments: Unfortunately, most of the retailer in US try to keep this Berkswell Cheese after Christmas. Most of the time it's show open line inside and mold and did develop bad flavor. I seen some good "affineur" refusing to buy it's July production too.

    We do a lot of cooking and Berkswell Cheese is really versatile
    Have met the people who run the farm, great people, great cheese.

    Keeps popping up in all the good cheese deli's.
    Really good dinner party cheese, everyone likes it.

    Berkswell Cheese is one of the finest ews's milk cheeses I have ever tasted. It has a full and unique flavour but the great thing is the after taste, it really lingers and gets you wanting another bite!
