I use Mediced for my 2 children 1 is 3 and the other is 18months old, it works a treat for coughs and colds and teething. Also my 18 month has to get her injections this week so I will be giving her mediced as it works and I am responsible with the dosage - what mother wouldn't be!. Only bad point is not very nice to taste.

Medised has been on the shelves for years and was used by my mum for my sister (and possibly me) so naturally I use it for my two children (5 and 16 months). Could not believe, when I went into Boots and they refused to sell it to me for the 16 month old. I said I would therefore buy it for the five year old but the assistant said 'I'm sorry but I still cant sell it to you because you wanted to give it to your youngest originally' ... Is this turning into some kind of nanny state?? I spoke to th ...

Good information has been given regarding the changes in Medised. I still buy it for my 9 month old, just when she has problems sleeping from teething. It is the only thing that will soothe her. Even though the pharmacist recommended that I not use it, I feel that I can dose responsibly and take the safe measures to administer correctly. It should be up to the parents I think.

I think as long as people are responsible then medised should be left on the shelf. Covers everything from coughs to colds to teething, need I go on!

Recently ive been told that i cant buy this product for my child as shes not 2, where is the information that tells us why this is because Medised certainly wasnt on the published list of withdrawn medicines, and nobody seems to know the reasons as to why we cant buy it anymore, the boxes all say from 3mths and i for 1 find it extremely patronising being told i could overdose my child when im quite aware of the dosage and a very responsible parent! How do other parents feel?

Overall this medicine was good. It not only brought my 4 month old babies temperature down & helped with her headache from her 2nd batch of innoculations but eased the pain in her gums considerably from teething, the strawberry flavoured liquid was pallatable and the spoon was a good size and shape, so was easy to use. Not the cheapest medicine but worked well
