I wanted to add myself to the same flights as my husband and kids flying out to USA but the system couldnt let me add a different outgoing and incoming carrier. Holiday Genie handled our booking for Dubai. They represented the best price for our holiday, and comms were good via email. They called where necessary and I was pleased that they organised a free upgrade for us. Be aware that you need to settle the final payment before the due date, or the price may rise with this company. (read more)

Holiday Genie booked our trip to South Africa for us and were very responsive and courteous. They didn't just take the money as commission and run but kept in contact to inform us when one of the flight times changed. It was perfectly clear from the tickets purchased that this was a one time deal and our party were responsible for getting to the right place to ensure our flights were met. I can't fault the service offered by Holiday Genie. Our consultant, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Although the quote was the cheapest we found, there was nothing second rate about our holiday. The villa was perfect, car hire efficient and the Virgin flights a joy. Our agent was fantastic. It is brilliant that the same member of the Genie team stay with you throughout the planning of the holiday, not being passed from one member of staff to another. She organised everything to meet my description of what we wanted from our holiday, including selecting connecting flights to reduce overall travelling time, tickets to attractions and shows and very reasonable car hire charges. We have been to Florida 3 years in a row arranged by Holiday Genie everything has been excellent Split Flights-Great flight times organised for us with very little layover times Hotel was also great. For my fortieth, my hubby and I decided to go on a cruise but had no clue where to go and what cruise line to use. All we knew was that we wanted a waoh experience. My colleague at work recommend Holiday Genie. Our agent was fantastic. She got us the best possible deal with a world class service. Allen helped me change a flight booking and bring it forward by one day (London to Port Elizabeth). He was supportive, communicates well and is positive in manner and attitude. Wanted to book a family holiday to Florida, Orlando, decided to book through Holiday Genie, spoke to Lawson who gave me a couple of options on flights and accommodation, decided a villa in Southern Dunes Golf Resort would suit us best. Booked a 3 bedroomed villa with own pool, but when we arrived we had been upgraded free of charge to a 4 bedroomed villa, 3 bathrooms with own pool. Just returned from a 2-week Orlando holiday booked with Holiday Genie. Competitively priced flights, 3-bedroomed villa and car hire booked through them. Customer service was great - even received prompt email replies to my questions over the weekend! Helpful and friendly over the phone too. Had a fabulous holiday in a great villa, and car hire experience thro' Alamo easier than we've ever experienced before. Highly recommend, and we're quite fussy as regards customer service! While they have cheaper price arranges, they serve the cheapest manner I have never seen ever. I was ignored because my English is not good enough, when I asked deltail of my flight on the phone to the Customer Sevice. We booked because the price was so reasonable . But it appears it was too good to be true. One out flight to Vietnam we had a flight to Singapore with a connection to Ho Chi Minh this gave us 1 hr and 15 mins between connections which was short but do able. However when we arrived at Heathrow we were informed that out baggage would not be transferred and we could not book on to the connecting flight. I booked a package holiday to Barbados through Holiday Genie. I had looked at other travel companies and the same holiday was around £1,500 to £2,000 more expensive.Flights were direct with Virgin, and the hotel was also advertised on the Virgin website. dont worry - just ask for your airline reference and your hotel reference and that will give you the reassurance as you can then check directly with them. I have booked 3 holidays with holidaygenie and had no problems. looking at the reviews seems to be mostly from people booking flights online and not holidays - most of the holiday reviews are really positive - hope that helps :)

The website is very poorly laid out and by that I mean VERY badly laid out. It is very easy to make a mistake and find you've bought more than you've bargained for and trust me, if you make a mistake, they don't care at all that they've ripped you off! I tried another fare (second best) - the same problem occured. I did not call them and just waited half an hour or so. pretty sure that if i did not argue , then i would of been fobbed of with 50 quid.

Tried to cancel a flight as my mother became very unwell and had to stay behind and look after her. Sent an automated reply to my e-mail, then a brief e-mail telling me how to cancel the flight, then nothing. Have been phoning and e-mailing. I booked recently with Holiday Genie, I spoke with a very helpful lady called Mel. She researched many options for me going to Jamaica, and found me a deal that was cheaper than any I had found myself online, and i'd say i was very good at hunting for a cheap deal. Internet Flight booking with agency known as Holiday Genie or Flying Eagles Ltd. I was advised by their agent Jay I would have to pay the entire cost of my flight again (750 pounds) because of a one letter error I had failed to spot on my e-ticket. Ive booked with this company on 2 occassions on both occassions weve had problems The reason why I rebooked with them again because they promised they would not make the same mistakes. I re booked in sept 2012 for 3 weeks at christams which cost £5200.00 the accomaodation was dirty the bedding had been slept in we had a dead ****** in the bed the house was running alive with ants. Unfortunately I am out of the office until late next week and cannot talk with you so I will also be communicating via email.
We would never leave our passenger stranded as you put it and if there was any option for us to help you we would but the communication we received from Avalon was an update on your ongoing complaint in resort which they were trying to resolve. At no time did you contact us here in the UK during your stay.
We are not asked to authorize changes in accommodation as it would be the management company to deem it necessary which it seems they did not.
My customer services team are looking into every aspect of your complaint and will send you a detailed report.
I have also being sent your email where you have claimed half our customers complain about our services. This is an incorrect statement and in fact your own email has attached statements of how good we are from clients who enjoyed the holiday they booked with us.
We have today forward your file onto ABTA and we will only being dealing with you via ABTA in the future. I would normally wait for my customer services team to copile the report and resolve the issues inhouse before passing the matter onto ABTA legal team but I feel your comments are based on forums which are not legal statements but cyber gossip which can be posted by non customers of holiday genie.com
I would also like to make you aware that last year we sent over 50,000 passenger on holiday and have been trading for over 15 years as member of ABTA, ATOL and IATA so your comments whilst you are entitled to make them are completely incorrect and have forced us into this position

They may offer the best prices, but they don't know the meaning of the word "service". When I called to point out the error in the spelling of my name, they insisted that there would be no problem and that I should not fret over such minor detail. I ask for the change my flight departure date and I have paid the fees. I have received the confirmation from the agent. I booked with them a trip to Argentina and I was not happy at all. I asked them a simple question and they answer me three months later when I insisted and then the answer was wrong. When we were coming back we realized that the combination flight was 5 hours later that what they have sold me. I am angry by the fact that calling to get some help you are treated like you are nuiance and should not be calling at all. I have called 3 time now and every time there has been a customer advisor with an attitude or with really bad english. I also got hung up on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. One star is too high a rating for this bunch of inconsiderate, unhelpful rabble. I booked from the UK to Canada through HolidayGenie. They had me connecting through London City and Heathrow - a transfer that is physically impossible. HolidayGenie comfirmed this but apparently it was my fault - probably was - for booking with HG in teh first place. You can still buy these tickets today so watch out. After much ringing around to get flights I came across this company, was very very sceptical as had the run around from a few others this morning. Gary was very helpful, got worried when my mastercard could not get through their security on line and reluctantly gave detals over the phone after checking ABTA and ATOL details. Completely agree.... they couldn't have said the words: "can I have your credit card number" quick enough. When I tried to contact him with concerns, he turned into a distastefully rude character who wasn't interested in what I had to say at all. Once the commission was earnt, the service vanished. Their management team are just the same. Will never book with them again.
