i traded my aprilia tuono in for the ktm and have no regrets,sounds awsome with akropovic.nice and light,brakes good,not bad on fuel...hard suspension,can be grabby on acceleration but you get use to it,i just love the bike and i'd have another,enjoy every moment....jenko,leeds. (read more)

The KTM RC8 is the only competition to Ducati's dominance of the 1200 twin class. I love sport twins, and since the loss of Honda and Suzuki as manufacturers, alternatives to the dukes are few and far between. The RC8 is a firebreathing agressive bike, comes well kitted from the factory (but needs the akro), and is great value for money due to price cuts (it didnt sell tooo well)... Chassis and handling for spirited street riding is quite possibly the best i've experienced.

The RC8 is AWESOME, but if you want a bike that's very easy to ride then buy a Honda!
This bike will show you how good a rider you really are and you may not like what it tells you. I also have K6 750 which I can ride fast, The RC8 lets you know when you should brake, shouldn't break! should accelerate... so on an so forth.. I think it's making me a better rider! (read more)

The KTM RC8 is a wonderful bike, let down by a poor gear box, first gear makes the biggest "clunk" ever and the fuel injection at low speeds is very very poor. Moving at limited throttle in first is impossible.
I adore the bike, and am willing to live with these issues as the bike is just wonderful at speed. Pipe is a must. (read more)

Picked the KTM RC8 over the Ducati 1098(s) that had had my eyes on for a while. RC8 is a lot on the better street and and easier to ride fast on track and costs less. (read more)
