I purchased webwatcher for 2 PC's (2 license fees) and had a terrible outcome--worst money I ever spent. The first 4 months I fought with them trying to convince them that their software had a bug. When the software was activated it used 50% of my CPU at that point on under the guise of "explorer.exe". I showed them that when I deactivate webwatcher the problem goes away then reactivate and it starts up again. This happened on both of my PC's. Then they finally were able to reproduce the problem and I spent the next month doing testing for them so that is 5 months gone. Not even a thanks from them. Then I found that if you don't log into the account online every 30 days then the account goes inactive and stops working.....what the? A few months later I get Windows 7 on one PC and they tell me it's not compatible. They finally come out with a compatible version (they say) and they tell me my account is over a year old so it is deactivate unless I give them another $47 per license for an annual renewal. That blew me away and sent me over the top. When I researched their product their agent told me there is no annual fee--not truthful.
The worst customer orientation, product is buggy and shoddy.

I bought this software to monitor my spouse's activity. It worked great at first. After I busted him in a chat on facebook and he found out about it, the software amazingly stopped recording facebook chats!! I have reset it, spent hours and hours with webwatcher, etc. Nobody can seem to help me fix it! I just had a chat with webwatcher, for them to tell me to do something I have tried a MILLION times with them. The rep new it would disconnect our chat, because it calls for re-booting your comput ...

I loaded the Web Watcher Program on my Grand Daughters new computer. Before giving the computer to her I tested Web Watcher for a week. Every thing worked great. Then she took it home and that was when the problems began. I could not block any programs. The blocking worked fine when I tested it. I contacted the Tech people and they spent a couple of days trying to fix it but with out any luck. They told me I would have to get the to target computer for testing. As it is about 100 miles away that ...

Web Watcher is pretty okay with quick installation. Doesn't track both sides of Facebook chat - which is really what I need. Haven't yet found a software which does that. I may try Spector Pro next.

Ive never used any other keylogging software so for my first one I must say I was impressed with untraceability of it considering it does collect so much information. Web Watcher captures most MSN Messenger conversations (both sides). Captures snapshots though this is slightly unreliable. Tells you which keywords have been used for browsing and which websites have been used, all with time stamps. Collects most (but not all) keyboard activity.

Overall the Web Watcher is good, but its not the great program that many of the reviews make it out to be. It is web based making it easier to access information than e-mail based software. Does a pretty good job of catching everything. It does seem expensive!!! They start you off with 1000 picturers and then they charge you to buy more. Like it really costs them more. Come on. The website is also very slow and many times get caught up and you have to log out and log back on.

Seems to record most of what I'd like to monitor.
The alert-words snapshots seem to work well.
    Key logger did it's job

You have to access your data through a website provided by webwatcher, and the site is frequently running so slow it's just not useable.

I've only had the product a week, and the site has been out of order in some way at least 80% of the time.

I would not recommend this product due to the performance of webwatchers data site.

    1. Advertising and website are both very convincing; (though see 'bad points' below). 2. The program is truly well-hidden from the user; (though see #2 under 'bad points'). 3. It has fairly user-friendly controls to review the collected data; (though see #1 & #3 under 'bad points').
Ugh. I wish I had not purchased webwatcher. But after paying for three computers to be covered my investment is WAY too high of an amount from whcih to walk away.

We spend hours with support and they made us reload this and that to no avial. Eventually a member of the support admitted tehy have big problems at their end with their servers getting the information gathered and grouped into the account's website and suggested the only way of getting around it is to but more computer snap shots which come in batches of 10,000 and which we have exhausted and is not the most easy fruendly way of monitoring chats. They said they put 1000 into our account free un ...

It works out very expensive for me. The license I payed for allows me to monitor just a single machine so if I have 2 or 3 PCs or Laptops in my house I need more licences. There are no free upgrades too as far as I am aware, I have to pay an additional fee for that. This means if Microsoft change the way MSN or Internet Exporer work then WebWatcher may no longer work with them and I may lose the ability to monitor them at all. Also the 'Smart Cam' comes at a price; you get 1000 'free' snapshots ...

Once Awareness Technologies, the maker of WebWatcher, gets their information technology / product development act together, it will be a super product. However, what good is the monitoring if you cannot access the data?

It's possible that web watcher will find a fix for the issue. When the software can continue running after reboot and no other issues exist, this software will offer great options for parents looking to monitor computer use.
