A total waste of time. Russell Hobbs Caffe Torino Combi espresso maker is ok, the milk frother is a waste of time: it doesn't work. I'm not too sure how it got through testing. The milk frother feature simply doesn't serve its purpose.

Got this Russell Hobbs Caffe Torino Combi as a Xmas present and now can't even return this machine. Frother does not work (even got an experienced coffee shop worker to try it!). Water gushes out too fast for any flavour to be achieved.

Bought this Russell Hobbs Caffe Torino Combi after my previous espresso maker died, what a disappointment! Frother works from the pressure built up in the espresso chamber, and when this is gone you've got nothing (lasts about ten seconds).

A cappuccino machine that is unable to froth the milk without pouring loads of water out of the espresso hole, the Russell Hobbs Caffe Torino Combi is useless piece of junk, may as well just get a normal percolator coffee machine without the frothing equipment.
If you want to froth the milk you have to heat it up before or have the water come out of the espresso coffee hole as it won't work any other way. Don't buy this.

I felt I should write a review to try to stand by my coffee maker, with an honest review. 4 stars = good, it makes good coffee.
Not too sure why, but I'm having no trouble at all with this coffee maker, either for espresso, filter or frothing the milk via steamer. All I can say is that I have followed the instructions to the letter.
If I were to offer tips, don't wait for espresso to finish before you froth, the pressure will have dropped. Also, as when in Italy, warm the milk you add to filter coffee, say 30 secs in the microwave.
I also believe the single most important thing I did; throw out the M&S coffee my girlfriend bought, and bought a decent quality Italian brand blend.
I did find that I had run water through a few times to lose the metallic tang.
The coffee from this will never be as good as a £8000 cafe Gaggia, but no domestic coffee maker ever will be, even a £250 Gaggia.

The Russell Hobbs Caffe Torino Combi coffee machine has a timer on it but if you use this the coffee is not hot enough so cant see the point of it.

Nice coffee maker if you have a microwave to heat the coffee after it has been made.
Stopped working after 2 months. I don't recommend the cafe torrino.

This coffee maker is great. it's aesthetically pleasing, sleek and compact with no unnecessary frills or gadgets. It has a timer function so your morning coffee can we ready for you as soon as you get up. It's dead easy to use and clean, with an easily removable filter system (no need for papers!) - you just put in your coffee, put in your water - press the button and away you go! Briliant value for money also, very reasonably priced, and a name you can trust. It also comes with a year's free warranty for peace of mind. At the moment you also get 50% off your first order of Nairobi coffee, too! I would recommend this to all coffee lovers - in particular those 'new' to making filter coffee at home. You can't go wrong. So far no bad points.
