Honda ST1300 ABS Pan European's engine is bomb proof in my opinion, I've ridden them with over 100,000 miles on and there's no appreciable difference from new ones. Build quality usual Honda quality. Handling frighteningly good for a big bike. I do 300 miles a week on mine which I bought new in 2004, commuting in traffic varying from busy inner city to high speed motorway, in all weathers. The bike has never missed a beat. It returns 45 mpg during normal use, nearer fifty on long runs, if you don't push too hard. Even thrashed it still does 40+ mpg. A hard act to beat. Suspension a bit firmer than st 1100 ,which improves handling but makes the backside numb after 100 miles. So not as comfortable for me. A bit of pitting in front forks, but changed under warranty. P.S. No sign of the 'high speed wobble'. (And I have tried)

Wonderful bike I hope the new model lives up to this ones reputation. This is a stunning bike, I am on my 4th new one, the latest is the fastest, I believe they have remapped the ignition.
It is smooth and after 200 miles on the saddle in one day I can still walk, I could not do that on my RRY.- Read dave553322's review (113 words)

Really enjoyed riding the Honda Pan European. However, in the 18 mths I have owned it, and with only 15k on clock, front fork seals replaced, and now giving problems again, plus abs system faulty, which I have been told will cost over 1600 euro, not too happy, think I will go back to fjr, which never gave any problems, or might try the new r1200gs, what you think?- Read paul mc cabe's review (80 words)

I am 51 years old, 6'4" tall. Have had my '07 st (from new) for 16 months and have just clocked 73,000 absolutely trouble free kms. I don't ride to work, all my riding is done on weekends and holidays. Up until my last brush with police radar , we (my wife rides a 1300 cruiser) normally cruised the open road at 140+ kph, (with fully loaded panniers, topbox and an rjays bag on the passenger seat) so my bike has not been nursed. I have not ridden any othe sports tourer, so am not about to belittle ...- Read 14BIF's review (197 words)

Had an RT1100 for a while but just could not get used to the boxer engine. Took the ST1300 ABS out for a demo and just got my credit card out there and then. Did 7000 miles in the first year, a mix of trips to work, traffic filtering etc and long distance (200 mile) trips. The machine just ate the miles. I am tall at 6' 5" and this bike was just perfect for me. It is well balanced and very comfortable.- Read crpcrp's review (123 words)
