Good Points: Really excellent laptop or should I say replacement for desk top. Too heavy to be really portable. Very fast even with Vista. Dell reliability
Bad Points: Very heavy. I upgraded the screen which is too shiny and reflects everything.
General comments: Dell Vostro 1500 is a fantastic machine for the house and the upgraded screen is excellent for watching movies as long as you are not in the garden. I also upgraded the battery which means less charging. It handles everything in its stride and has Dell reliability. A range of good packages come with the Vostro. Good all round laptop except for portability. This is really a desk top replacement.

Dell Vostro 1500 is cheap and very reliable I find it very easy to use and have not had any problem with windows vista and I do recommend it for any person interested of acquiring a good cheap Laptop and value for money! its also fast!
A good deal especially with a free bag! I do like the blue lights!

My Dell Vostro 1500 has good battery life with the optional 9 cell battery. Nice clear screen. Very quiet, in fact almost silent even after leaving it on for a long time. Lots of features including a DVD burner, wireless connections 4 USB sockets and lots more! Superb value for money for a business laptop. Well built to withstand the rigors of daily use and a terrific spec for not a lot of money. Dell reliability should make this a great laptop for home and business use.

Good laptop for the average user and if you don't mind the OS asking permission for almost every action, it is fast and for a faster internet experience get Safari Web Browser.
