I brought the Mamas and Papas Herbie splishy splashy and after reading reviews about the pushchair that were negative i still ignored them and hoped that the faults were rectified after all you expect to purchase something for your bundle of joy thats going to keep them safe but after three months screws started to come loose and then whilst crossing the road the front wheel come off which was very alarming once i got home i contacted mamas and papas and they said it would need to be sent for repair but i ignored them and went to the store where thankfully they realised it was a fault and exchanged the pram for a different one.

We purchased this in a sale and it was ok for the first 5 months. The car seat is heavy but you get used to it. On the 5th month it folded up by its self twice. once whilst crossing a main road and once whilst in the school play ground. Luckily we had our baby strapped in to the car seat and not in the pram so no injurys occured. But this would of been very nasty if the pram was in use. I must say though that when I returned it to mama and papas at Hanley stoke on Trent the staff were excellent ...- Read robertevans68's review (189 words)

We have had problem after problem with the Herbie puschair - virtually every part of it has failed. Recently the front chassis collapsed. Our daughter is only six months old.
Mamas and Papas customer services are appalling to deal with.
We will NEVER buy anything from Mamas and Papas again and think they should be shut down for selling unsafe products which are endangering babies lives.- Read Guest's review (66 words)

I purchased this pram when it was on offer at half price (would never have paid the full £450) after seeing it on the Mamas and Papas website and thought it ticked all the boxes - lie flat for newborn, parent facing for early months etc. It is bulky and it's fiddly to change between pram and buggy but I knew these things before I bought it. In the 5 months I have owned it the front wheel has been replaced as it kept locking up and the seat unit has been replaced twice as the catches broke ...- Read Guest's review (190 words)

I also feel in love with the herbie as soon as i saw it i had to have it.I wish i would have read reviews before i bought it. this pram i dangerous.
I have had the pram for 1 year now, the wheels constantly looked from the day i first used it, the bar now on the seat also gets jammed, it is very hard to fold the pram away and the valve has gone on the back wheel witch makes it had to steer, then while i was out shopping the whole frame collapsed when i was crossing the road trying to get up th ...- Read Guest's review (269 words)

I have had the Herbie Ziko for 11 months now and only use it moderately. Today whilst crossing the road the chasis collapsed. Thankfully baby was not hurt. I can only say that speaking to the M&P customer services representative was like speaking with a robot who was only interested in quoting M&P policy and assusing me that this had never happened before. Reading through other review on this site would suggest that it is an ongoing problem with this pram/pushchair and with this in mind I wi ...- Read Guest's review (140 words)

Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko. DO NOT BUY! I have already had one whole chassis sent back as the front wheels broke and the chassis collapsed with my son in it. this was after 5 months of moderate use. Customer service is appaling and you have to do all the chasing.
The hood is NON REMOVABLE to be washed and therefore ends up filthy.
After having our 2nd chassis less that 6 weeks, my mum was out walking our son and the wheel just fell off. we had to leave our lunch in a pub to go and collect her ...- Read Guest's review (143 words)

Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko is as nightmare pram!
Weaknesses:
-the carry cot sat at an angle which meant my sons head was lower than his feet
-the hood faded very quickly
-the pram would not fold
-the front wheels locked
- the raincover ripped easily
- the change bag doesnt fit over the handle
Eventually the pram collapsed twice with my son in it. He fell to the side and I only just managed to grab him before he hit the pavement. Mamas and Papas would have nothing to do with us because we ...- Read Guest's review (140 words)

I spent about £450 on the Herbie Ziko from Mammas & Papas what a waste of my hard earned money. My 10wk old fell when the chase collapsed crossing a road. I have had the wheels replaced 5 times now customer services are terrible the rain cover has split on the stitching the bag is impossible to get to when the carry cot is on the car seat is too heavy and the handles come out would not recommend at all am now buying a new one.- Read Guest's review (85 words)

I bought the Mamas and Papas Ziko Herbie, and i loved it i loved how it looked and it was really nice to push, then i kept on having problems with the raincover it kept coming away at the stitching, then when my son was 8 weeks old one of the front wheels fell off while i was out shopping, Mamas and Papas did fix it, but then my son is now 5 months and both the front wheels buckled on my while taking my other son to school Mamas and Papas did give me a refund.- Read Guest's review (95 words)

As with the previous reviewers I bought the pushchair and was happy with it. For about 9 months. Now it collapses whenever it is pushed over a slightly un even ground. The hood has faded and turned a rather nasty shade of red. Mamas and Papas customer services have agreed to repair the pram and also to replace the fabric so it is not a complete loss. However we have had to lose the pram for a couple of weeks and have no idea when it will be returned or how strong it will be when it returns. Esse ...- Read remarkableape's review (126 words)

My mother-in-law was pushing my daughter, now 8 months, from our local shop to her home. In the space of 1/2 a mile, it collapsed 4 times.
Other problems:-
1. the fabric fades
2. the front wheels lock whilst pushing
3. the handlebar does not lock into it's highest position
4. the rear tyres puncture very easily
5. the raincover rips at the stiching
6. the carrycot slopes down, making baby slip down
7. the basket is impossible to reach with the carrycot on
8. the changing bag is too small
9. t ...- Read Guest's review (318 words and 4 comments)

I have had my pushchair now for around 4 months without any problems.
I feel in love with it when i saw someone in my local town and decided to change pushchairs. My daughter was 3 months old at this point.
What can i say it is fairly bulky however i was already aware of that when i brought it but saying that it folds down well and i have no problem getting it into my car.
It can get fairly scratched on the frame but being careful when folding eliminates this.
With all that in mind i still love ...- Read suziemoloney's review (225 words)

Please think very carefully before buying this Herbie Ziko system. My 11 month old grandaughter was in the pushchair when the chassis collapsed in the middle of the road causing cars to stop around us. Mamas and Papas didn't want to know as we had bought it from an independent retailer. They offered to have it repaired, we refused as we have no faith left in this pushchair. This was the second time it had been in for repair we are still waiting outcome but seems we are fighting a losing battle.- Read Guest's review (93 words)
