Good Points: Looks Good
Bad Points: Everything apart from it looks good
General comments: Had the Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko for 1 week and the hood broke, was advised by mamas and papas customer service to return to store and luckily they had a spare to swap. After 6 weeks chassis had 2 big cracks where the rear wheels fix on, yet again had to return to store and had problems getting a new chassis as the store manager thought it was acceptable to send it off for repair and give me a different loan pram for how ever long it took them to fix it! Since then have had 3 parasols (I find them to be very flimsy and now new models have different version) awaiting new basket (only to be told I have to have black as they no longer do dolly mixture) and have had new front wheels as the new chassis wheels kept sticking in non swivel mode when I was out walking. All these problems have occurred and its only been used for 15 weeks! It makes me wonder what problems are going to occur when it has had more wear and tear.

Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko - I decided to treat myself to a top end of the market pram/pushchair this time round, and invested over £600 in the Herbie and Pro-sleep car seat in Dolly mixture and have had no end of regret!
The parasol snapped the first time I used it and took 6 weeks to get a replacement (leaving me to buy a temporary replacement in the meantime).
Then the shopping basket tore the first time I unfolded the wheels section (I believe this may be a design fault) and have wai ...

After just 4 weeks using the Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko, the front wheels had become like shopping trolley wheels, they kept locking and sticking and steering became a nightmare. I took the pram back to the shop and (after and hour and a half of me standing there whilst they looked at it and scratched their heads) they sent the frame back to head office to be looked at. When the pram came back over a week later they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, but replaced the front wheels f ...

I have had the chassis replaced by the shop purchased from once already because of the faulty handle and also because the whole chassis would not fold down at all making it impossible for me to use. The replacement has started to have the same handle fault and I am currently trying to get this sorted out. It is no fun for me or my baby when the handle gives way as I catch my toes on the break bar and like I did fall in a heap jerking the poor baby about like being on a bouncy castle. Add this to ...

My hood needed replacing after 18 weeks of use... colour faded quite badly, I was advised by mamas and papas to call the supplier where I bought it from, I did and was told to send my hood back to the supplier at my own cost they then would send my hood to mamas and papas as they need to inspect it, this would take two weeks and in the meantime I could not use my pram because the rain cover only fits onto the hood, neither mamas and papas or my supplier seemed interested that I would have no pra ...

Personally I am really please with my Herbie. I have been using it for 3 months and find it really good. I bought the car seat adapters so are using the Primo Viaggio car seat which is much lighter than the pro sleep. The front wheels locked to begin with but this has sorted its self out with a bit of use. I would recommend it.

I really like this pram as i like the pattern design and overall its lightweight and easily to work. It takes corners easily and is easily pushed with one hand.
For the £480 price tag which is now £500 for the whole lot i think it is reasonable as i also got the car seat free with a promotion. I did price the pliko up by time you add on the extras it worked out just as much.
It could do with a drinks holder like the plikos. The changing bag supplied could do with being bigger.

Generally a good buggy, clearly trying to rip off the bugaboo at a cheaper cost. It largely succeeds. Needs to iron out shopping basket for carrycot position and redesign the car seat so you don't need to be a weight lifter to pick it up!

I've had a few problems since buying my herbie. After 4 weeks of use the handle was frequently wobbling and changing height whilst pushing. Took it back to the store and rather than swapping it immediately we were told that we were pushing it in the wrong place! Apparently the prams are tested on a machine before they are sent out and this problem has never been flagged by the machines. I must say that we really have not been happy with the service at Mamas and Papas at all. Felt we had to real ...

This pushchair is only suitable if you have a large car, I can never leave it in my car boot as I have to take to parcel shelve out, the right wheel keeps locking which drives me mad, the carry cot slants back which makes my babies face go red unless I put a pillow in it, the carry cot in loose, in all its no way worth over £480, very dissapointed and mamas and papas are useless, they told me the straps that were hanging were for a univeral raincover when they were for securing the carry ...

I would not advise anyone to buy this pram whilst out walking, the chassis snapped in half, my pram is less than 6 months old, my baby ended up on the floor next to a busy main road.

So far dead chuffed with the whole kit. Happy baby sleeps soundly in the car seat (once reclined) and mum loses a bit of leg room in the front but it's worth it to have a safe (and quiet) trip in the car. General comment i guess is try before you buy to check it all fits and that your strong enough to lift it with a baby in it. This should be common sense anyway though?

The pro-sleep car seat for the Ziko Herbie is useless. It doesnt even fit in my Mondeo, one of the most popular family cars on the road. We have twice had M&P try and fit the seat to both our Mondeo and our Panda, and once in it wobbles around really unsecurely. It was even possible to twist it through 90 degrees even though it was in the locked position ! M&P are refusing to make adaptors for Maxi-cosi cabriofix or they're own Primo Viaggio. Apparently the Pro-sleep has been around in Europe fo ...

If you want to purchase the Mamas and Papas Herbie Ziko pram / pushchair / car seat PLEASE PLEASE try to carry the car seat with a baby in it (or equivalent weight - supposed to be for use up to a year old!?) My baby is 7 weeks old and I am unable to carry the car seat as the weight is unbelievable. The attached stand on the car seat makes lifting in and out of the car, and lifting on and off the wheels impossible. My husband even struggles with it! At the moment we are going through the complai ...
