I bought this pram 3 and a half years ago! I'm using now for my third child. I have three kids under 4 so there are times that three of them r on the pram!!! Youngest in his car seat , two daughters stepping on the side of the basket n holding the handle:) lovely pram! Looks good. (read more)

I've had this pushchair for quite some time now and I have loved it apart frm the from left wheel locking from time to time and the rain cover ripped very easily. Having said that, recently the front left wheel fell off in the middle of the road and I had to finish my journey with three wheels, I managed to fix it and a few weeks later it happened again whilst I was getting on the bus, I fixed it again and it fell off while shopping, I fixed it once again and it fell off after walking no... 3 years ago me and my husband were shopping for a pram, looking at the different makes. Test driving some and even getting some feed back from some parents about ther buggies...So we had an idea of wat we wanted....Went to Dublin did some shopping for some buggies, went to mamas an papas....Liked some of the buggies....I was more going for the look then the function of it...That was more my husband, looking into the joints , material , etc . I chose this pram (1st time mum)as i liked the design, & it was very smooth to monuver. I also purchased the car seat from Mamas&papas, which fits onto the frame, which comes in very handy when you have a sleeping newborn! At first i was very pleased with this pram. However, the frame really lets this pram down :( as one day (during the first few times of using the pram!) the frame collapsed as i went down a curb (with my newborn in it!!!) thankfully the road was clear and my baby was unhurt... We have had this pram for a while now and it has been quite good. We used it from birth and, although the front wheel rotation lock levers do wander so one wheel locks at bad times and the back wheels have to be checked from time to time so they don't loosen, its quite a good pram. The real shocker for us was when we converted it to a push chair. A couple of weeks after we started using the pushchair seat, the harness clip snapped rendering the pushchair unusable. Brought this for my 2nd child. I did get it from the factory outlet in stoke for £299 instead of £500... Bargain I thought! Plus side it is very easy to push and is very comfy for my son as a new born and now when he is 2. It is good on various terain also. The covers are easily removed and washed. On the negative side the lovely red, (I got the hot and bothered Herbie) cover and especially the hood has faded so badly it looks really awful. A year ago was crossing the road and it folded in... We bought this one for our son when he was first born and used it as a pram then converted it to the buggy set up. Whilst I give it 10 out of 10 for comfort (for the child), storage space and ease to fold, we have been dogged with problems from within 9 months. The issues have always related to the front wheels, either falling off or jamming. It was sent back to Mamas and Papas twice, but neither sorted the problem. Mamas & Papas Herbie raincover is not fit for purpose. It ripped after about 5 uses but the company's view was that it was 'not a manufacturing fault' - how can this be? It ripped along the stitched edge and had not been subject to any rough handling. Dont buy this product - very poor! (read more)

Mine lost a wheel within 4 weeks of use, fabric began to fade within 6 weeks and finally it was only 5 months old whe is collapsed folding over with my son in side!!! also when i appraoched mamaps and papas about faults they would do nothing as it was over 6 months old at that stage ( i bought it 2 months before birth of my son ... in my opinion the biggest waste of £500 ever (read more)

I bought this from a friend who used it for her 2 children previously so its 3 years old and i love it! it is a tad bulky when in shops and the car but thats the only complaint i have. It is easy to steerand my son seems to find it very comftorable actually he sleps better in this than his bed!! (read more)

I have been using my herbie ziko for a year and a half now. I used it from birth and find the pram great i have bang it and crashed it enough times and never had it collapse on me. can steer it with one hand, light, big shopping basket my son allways seems comftable in it. Only faults are it's quit wide which is a problem in shops with norrow isle and to fit it in my boot you have to removed wheels but i find it very easy and quick to take apart and put back up. The wheels have fallen off our pram twice now, front wheels lock and you literally have to drag the pram about. Now mamas and papas tell me we have to pay to get it fixed when it is 13 months old and cost the best part of £500. Terrible product and terrible service. Wish I had read these reviews before we bought.

I bought this pushchair over a year ago - from the factory outlet store in Huddersfield. I've found it to be really bulky, hard to steer, hard to use in shops, annoying to get in and out of car boot - as our car isn't that big. I think this pushchair is great and my LO loves it. Pram was warm and cosy in the winter. And now in pushchair mode, my LO loves being out and about. We've taken it everywhere - on the beach, on bumpy paths, through mud, and its always worked really well. Like the fact that its different and not many people have it. (read more)

I wish I wud of read these reviews before purchasing the herbie. Mine lasted just short of 5 weeks! After 3 days the o/h was out pushing our son wen the front wheeled locked goin down a curb, pushchair including baby tip over with o/h landing on top... I thought he was been dramatic, he wasn't! I've had this push chair for about six months now and had no problems, i live in a small village in Spain in the middle of the mountains with no car and this push chair has been a wonder.

Basically Mamas and Papas believe they are above the sales of goods acts (they try to deny this saying that the product they return to you is mended to a BS standard. But do not give any indication what caused the fault, on asking for the broken parts back I was told this would not be possible, this again breaks the trading standards laws), I was horrified to read the review of the ladies pushchair who had collapsed beneath her with a child in it, did she make this up? A terrible pushchair with poor design and even worse customer service.
Having been pushed into buying the pushchair by Mamas and Papas staff over the Luna I'm devastated that we did not research it first.
The pushchair collapsed whilst crossing the road. Luckily my little boy was 13 months old and strapped into the seat unit-had he been in the carrycot I think a more serious injury would have been caused.

I have also had nearly every problem listed on this page, the colour faded (we got the materials replaced but these have begun to fade as well), the rain cover ripped and is not fit for purpose and the front wheels keep locking. Today, as i crossed and today i caught the front wheel on the kerb and it snapped off, the pram is going to the tip tommorrow.
All in all a complete waste of money, we emailed mamas and papas about the earlier problems but as we are just out of guarantee they are not...

i bought the herbie ziko pram/pushchair and mechanically its been fine, i was worried after reading these reviews after i bought it but ive had no major problems at all like some people seem to have had. The only thing i wasnt happy ith is that the black covers faded very quickly and i had to buy some new covers, i chose the red 'hot and bothered' range, which i paid £100 off ebay (there was only one set on ebay and if i hadnt bought them then it would have cost me almost £200 from Mamas &... LOVE LOVE LOVE my Herbie pram :) best pram i have ever had :) i have had no problems with this pram AT ALL!! Built in store for me and has never gone back (apart from when im shoppingt there). i do alot of walking and bus journeys as i don't have a car, so its folded up for bus, over lumps and bumps (live rural walk to town) daily. The worst pram I have ever bought ,I also had problems from day 1 ,the poppers by the bumper bar do not stay done ,the buggy has folded down on its own luckily my daughter wasnt in it at the time ,I have had the pram less than 2 months and already the colour has faded ,the wheel has come off and seem to have a mind of their own .

i recently bought a skate pushchair from mamas and papas in speke. it was an absolutley gorgeous pram and the way the sale staff had dressed it up in the shop with teddys and blankets made it even more appealing. this is what made me buy it. in the past 2 weeks the frame has bent and the harness is that unsafe that my 6 month old daughter has hurt herself on numerous occassions. this pram says from birth??? surely the harness should be secure to the seat?? when i bought my pram i bought it... Simply terrible!
I hope I had never put my eyes on such a beutiful and expensive piece of rubbish.
Problems started almost from day one as front right wheel kept blocking. After six months of use, the chassis decided to fold up, colapsing with our baby on it.
In my opinion, it is unsafe for the baby and should be put off the market as soon as possible.

I bought the Herbie Ziko when it was on sale without looking at the reviews beforehand. It is a beautiful pram and my baby was very comfortable in it but unfortunately it did fold itself down with my 5 month old in it.
I returned it to Mamas & Papas where the staff were excellent and very apologetic. They exchanged it for a different model of pram within minutes.

There are quite a few mentions of front wheels having a mind of their own on here - couldn't agree more - it was okay for about a year, then suddenly turned into the world's most annoying shopping trolley. I have persevered because I just can't bear to spend yet more money on a buggy, when this cost the best part of £500, but I am about to give in and chuck it in the loft to gather dust.
Raincover also keeps ripping and I was told it would cost £40 to replace, spokes come out of hood...

We got the herbie in Dec 09 in the sale and its been a sound buy. Yes the basket isnt v accessible when using the pram option and the bag doesnt attach easy to the pram - but we just bought the luna one and its fine. I think there is a lot of negative reviews on the herbie here and it really worried me, but its been value for money and my wee one loves it, so we are very pleased with our buy. I have had no problems with this pushchair. I used it with my first child until he was 22 months and am now using it for my second child. It is a bulky pushchair but I have always found it easy to push and manouver. It is gorgeous and has the added bonus of being quite uncommon. I have had no problems with it collapsing as mentioned in previous reviews. (read more)

omg wish i had read reviews before i bought this pram, it took me ages for my partner to let me have this pram cos i fell in love with it,And now he was right we should have kept our old one. I previously wrote a review on the ziko on the 6th April 2009. After constant problems from the moment we got the buggy home the last straw was when the pram collapsed on a busy road. I took the pram back to Mamas and Papas and was hurried away by the manager and told that the problem would be fixed. I refused a repair and demanded a full refund or a swap for something different. Have had this pram for 16 months and thought it was great, however it has just collapsed on me with my baby inside. Could have been very dangerous. Onto M&P to get it fixed but have lost faith in this now. Would not reccomend as looks like this is a common problem. I wish i'd read these reviews before I purchased. This cost me £500 so was not the cheapest option, but it turned out to be the most dangerous. (read more)

This pram is a deaf threat.The frame collapsed when i was crossing the road with my 18 month old son in it.The whole pram tipped over , luckily he escaped with minor bruising.Most recently the back wheel decided it wont click in anymore, ive had smaller issues aswell such as replacing the raincover, replacing the basket, replacing the front wheel.mamas and papas fail to realise the seriousness of these issues.As i have had my pram for two years , this seems to be used as an excuse for theses... This has been brilliant. Parent facing which seemed to be essential to my son. Fits in the back of my punto with the wheels popped off - very easy to do. Easy to bump up stairs to my flat. Light weight frame. Looks nice - lots of peope admire it. Sturdy on all terrain. Haven't had any problems at all. We bought it from M&P ex-display and it came with all the accessories which was ideal. (read more)

We bought this a few months before our baby's birth, its been problematic ever since. The front wheels have had a mind of their own, its been back and forth to M&P twice, each time we have been without a pram for over a week. One wheel still isn't right and dances around all the time, but the warranty is out and they won't touch it. The raincover has disintergrated too. When working, it is a smooth ride. (read more)

I think this pram is very attractive to look at, but it has many faults.
We had problems with material fading, raincovers had to be replaced numerous times, basket came away from chassis. We had a lot of help initially from m&p but after the same problems reoccured, they didn't want to know and suggested that we were the cause of the problems, which I found very insulting. I think this pram was totally over priced. Never again!!!!

THERES NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THE PRAM.
I PURCHESED THIS A FEW MONTHS BACK WHEN EXPECTING MY FIRST I ALWAYS GOT TOLD M+PAPAS WERE THE BEST AND I FELL IN THE LOVE WITH THE PRAM. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FROM THE START WITH THEM SAYING THEY HAD CHARGED ME WRONG PRICE AND WANTED SOME MORE MONEY FROM ME!

I bought this pram when it was on sale in mamas and papas. I really like using it. It is simple to fold away and put in the car as it is so easy to fold down, i can get both parts in my Citroen C3 boot too. i can put the carrycot on the chassis by myself without any problems, but then again i am tall. I was scared by other reviews of it collapsing which i read after i bought it, but i can honestly say for the 4 months using it, it has been a dream, apart from the rain cover zip coming... Fantastic pram, lightweight and fits easily into my pug 206 with back wheels removed. (this takes about 10 seconds!!) i paid £500 for mine when they first came out and still think it was worth evry penny. I would say it is a very attractive pram and I always get people admiring it when i am out and about. shopping basket is plenty big enough for even the most dedicated shopper. very easy to push and manouvre, i have only had one problem in 14 months and that was due to grit in the wheels... Have had the Nicey for over 3 months now and also bought it in the sale for £275. ok its pretty heavy and the car seat weighs a ton but we knew this before we bought it and havent had any problems with it at all. We have the sleep pro car seat which is great if your just nipping out and dont want to take the carry cot too. this pram was so difficult to close also the umberella did not fit but when the wheels started to deflate and the pump did not work that was the last straw totally unsuitable for a mother travelling alone as you need two people to fit the car seat into the frame ...totally disappointed. (read more)

OMG......This happened to me about in the 6 mths. Stopped using it after it happened 3-4 times ....Was soo sadden, depressed about it. In shock. Me mother in law then bought us a very less expensive buggy and just put the other one in the attic. Till last year wrote to the company of what had happened and they said to send it the the store we bought it and they world send it to the UK the charge for this was 75 euros. So we did to see if they can fix it to use it in the future... apperently they did fix it , had my sister in law that live in Dublin pick it up but we hadn't gone to pick it up for almost 6-7 mths...to my surprise i was just told today thay probably on a rage she threw it out....so now i don't have a carcus for my prom....i'm soo gutted adn depressed because this time around i'm preg and was soo looking forward to using it again.... :(
