they say wonderful things come in small packages and this definitely sums up Shepreth. The animals are housed in suitable exhibits, looking lively and enjoying enrichment opportunities! All keepers are knowledgeable within there area and are only too happy to answer any questions, they really do show passion for their animals. a great value for money day out for all the family, would recommend it to everyone looking for a day outdoors.

Brilliant place to take kids. Super-helpful staff. Love the fact that enrichment and education are priorities. Lucky to have Sheprethwildlifepark on my doorstep and go there often. Prices in line with other similar locations.

After reading some other (critical) reviews of Shepreth Wildlife Park, I wasn't sure what to expect. However the park certainly delivered for us - providing five hours of entertainment for three children aged 2, 4 and 6.
It's not huge, but there was still plenty to see and some good hands-on animal experiences. The education centre was only too happy to let the children hold stick insects and rats, and they also stroked rabbits, donkeys, goats and horses. Plus the great nocturnal section included a darkened walkway where bats flew right overhead.
The soft play area and adventure playground were good, and the food prices were not as expensive as I've come across at attractions elsewhere. Yes, there are some sections where you have to pay extra, but we didn't bother - and still found there was enough to keep everyone happy. A good day out.

We had a lovely day at Shepreth with our 2 year old, I thought the park was laid out really well and though the range of animals was a bit ltd many were displayed imaginatively. The park and enclosures were generally clean and well maintained and we found it ideal for yound children as it was not to crowded even on a sunny saturday in july and not many older kids as it would prob not be enough there to entertain them. The outside play area was just enough to supplement the other attractions, we didnt use the inside one.
Unfortunately on the down side the baby changing and toilet areas were not so good, baby changing smelt like the nappy bin hadnt been emptied for a while! the food was not brilliant but most people had picnics which we would do next time.
Also take some hand sanitising gel as there are lots of farm animals around that can be fed or stroked and we found that gel was not always available close by and that several times gel or soap at these stations had run out.
It is also quite expensive especially for kids but I guess its an expensive place to maintain!

We took our 3 children here at the weekend (sunday) and had a very enjoyable few hours.
For a start the place wasn't rammed so it was nice to be able to wander & stop at our leisure.
The park itself isn't huge which was great with our lazy kids..!!! but the animal enclosures were well kept & the walk through bat enclosure was particularly scary..!!!!!!!! The keeper talks were nice & informal with staff willing to take as many questions as were thrown at them.
All in all a pleasant place to spend the afternoon although the prices are a little high when you add on Bug world....over 40 pounds for the 5 of us.
