Went last week while on holiday ,It is obvious that the wet summer has caused problems but as a livestock farmer myself i would never get away with the conditions some of these animals are kept in ,It was a complete muck hole and how they pass animal inspections i dont know ,unless they dont get inspected, they look reasonably healthy but the penned areas are not suitable under the presant wet conditions and as for the cost i would be embarassed to charge that amount for what was on offer (read more)

I read these comments below before i went but unlike most people i didn't judge before i seen it for myself. But as much as i would like to disagree with them i can't, this park is so run down. They are in such need of money by the looks of things. The animals either just sit about or are running around in a circle in their pens, bored. The toilets are very dirty. The staff are rude. Also for the amount of space they have you would think the animals would have more room to run around in. I... (read more)

I should have learned the first time when ordering food in the cafe, so many spiders webs on windows and ceilings in cafe and prep area, and the toilets, they must be part of the wildlife! So dirty and the animals not kept in best conditions. Do the environmental health ever visit this site because if a high street cafe looked like this it would be shut down. Never ever going to spend £7.50 each again, I will be reporting them to local council. (read more)

Shocking!!!
Kirkcudbright Wildlife Park is overgrown with brambles, nettles and weeds were not natural enviroment for animals. Electric fences also. Paths waterlogged and some inpassable so wellies highly recommended.
Lynx just paced back and forth in cage, felt very sad and guilty for spending £20.

The Kirkcudbright Wildlife park is well set out, the enclosures are very good, you need to search for some of the animals in their enclosures but this adds to the fun. Their animal handling sessions are well planned and run by people who really know what they're talking about, there is a friendly helpful staff. The Park is beautifully kept, there's also a nice wee park for the kids, we go at least once a year. Highly recommended. Keeps my ten year old occupied with never an I'm bored to be... (read more)
