Played Cabopino for the first time in March and, if I'm honest, it's not a course myself or the group that goes with us will rush back to.

The staff were very friendly, in fact we couldn't fault them - nothing was too much trouble.

The course itself is very, very hilly in parts. The 6th and 8 in particular are long slogs. The 3rd hole is stunning to look at from the tee and is clearly the signature hole, though in reality it plays as a bit of a "mickey mouse" hole. Water is tucked away on blind shots, particularly on the back 9, making for frustrating golf for the first time visitor. There is a double dog leg par 5 that is daft for anyone who hasn't played before - 12th or 13th from memory - the first time visitor gets to your ball played off the tee and really doesn't know where to go!

Tee to green it's in reasonable nick, though the bunkers were pretty much devoid of sand and rakes were in very short supply. The greens were rock hard - had they seen water the previous week? - and unreceptive, not much use when a feature of the course seems to be bunkers at the front of each green! Fairways are very, very tight in parts - the driver will rarely show it's ugly head around here.

Not great for holiday golf and not for us I'm afraid - Lauro is similarly priced and offers far better value :-(

Played this course, Cabopino Golf Course some years ago and was looking forward to going back. However, it was a great disappointment. The condition of the course had deteriorated in the intervening time. In particular, the bunkers were atrocious with little sand. They were more like gravel pits with obvious danger of damaging the club. We teed off at 10am and it was obvious the bunkers had not been raked for some time and, in fact, there were no rakes at any of the bunkers as far as I coul ...
