Roll up roll up if you want absolutely awful customer service. By far the worst internet buying experience I have had the misfortune to come across. Requested an exchange of goods just 2 days after their 14 day refund promise and have been completely blanked, even though I explained I had been out of the country after they asked me for the reason for the 'delay'. I cannot remember a better example of trying to alienate customers. Garbage, proceed with caution, or preferably don't proceed.

I first ordered some Litecraft products through Debenhams - three of the five lights supplied were the wrong ones. And then ordered some directly from the Litecraft website (I did not know Debenhams orders basically get handed over to Litecraft directly - thought the initial problem was with Debenhams). Parcel turned up missing one of the large main lights I wanted and even though it was crossed out of the included delivery note, Litecraft insisted it had been delivered and helpfully sent me the proof of delivery. The parcel they sent was not even big enough to hold the light they said was sent. Would not use again.

Just visited the Oldham store with my hubby to purchase some table lamps. As we entered the store we could hear a man shouting at one of the staff, he was sat on a sofa with somebody barking orders and basically telling this poor man off in full view of everybody. At one point we were going to intervene as his attitude was disgusting. We later found out he was one of the directors of this company. Totally unprofessional and arrogant. I must say we were served by the young man he was shouting out who was absolutely brilliant. Such a shame that the only thing I could write about our visit was this!

Item arrived damaged but I didn't notice immediately. Their policy on repair/replacement of faulty items says they must be notified within 14 days otherwise they aren't interested. I pointed out that this was illegal and so they made a 'goodwill' gesture and sent me the missing parts. It seems they're using their own dubious and illegal terms to offer a substandard level of customer service when it suits them. Many consumers may well be bullied into buying spare parts for faulty items when they were actually entitled to a replacement/repair free of charge. When a company can't even follow the law you have to question their intent to provide any level of customer service. Disappointing as the product was actually really good!

My wife and I visited the Chadderton store Oldham, on 27/07/15, and must say that the staff were very helpful. The only thing negative I have to say is NO lift too the upper floor. this hindered my wife greatly as she is weak from a on-going illness. please install a lift for disabled customers!!

Ordered a chandelier, waiting several months for it to be delivered. Upon arrival, it was broken....customer services refused to discuss it with me over the telephone and advised that I should email instead. A second chandelier arrived with several missing parts, again email communication only. Chandelier is of substandard workmanship with one of the arms higher than the other and another arm twisted, so the bulb is pointing in a different direction. I have had no option but to keep this item as the faults were only discovered by my electrician upon fitting. If I'd sent it back, I would've been left with a bill from the Electrician, which Litecraft wouldn't have paid. I am still waiting for some of the replacement parts, it has been weeks now and I am losing the will to live. I will NEVER use this company or indeed recommend it to anyone. My advise would be to go to a reputable retailer and view the item you are looking to buy and have the opportunity to speak to a real person, not a computer. Dreadful company.

I went to litecraft in Leeds to view some spot lights I had seen online, I wasn't sure if my wife would like them but the salesman told me I could return them within 28 days. She didn't like them so I took them back two days later only to be told I could only have a credit note or exchange. I explained I wouldn't have bought them if that had been explained to me but the manager said it was policy and he would not make an exception and just pointed to a sign that had the returns policy printed on it. I explained that the policy was not shown to or explained to me at the time but he did not accept this as grounds for a refund. It was a very frustrating experience. I will never buy anything from there ever again.

Went with my wife a month ago and spent close to £700 in the store in Oldham . Staff bending over backwards when taking your money. We were renovating our home and we told them the style may change by the end and 1 particular light fitting (£499) May be changed. " no problem sir, full refund if you don't think it's right when you get it home" we decided to buy and leave all stock at the store until the rooms were ready. Went today to actually collect the items with a view of refunding one of the fittings as discussed earlier with them. Told today even though I hadn't even collected the items that no refund are allowed, only credit note! The attitude of the sales girl was terrible, just a " you can't have refund " wouldn't mind but it was only one item of 8 purchased!! Warning..... Will suck up to you to get your cash, then treat you like dirt!! You have been warned!

I made a small order to Litecraft - a few external lights and bulbs. When the order arrived, one of the lights was slightly damaged - I assumed in transit. The customer service from Litecraft was excellent - they dealt with my issue promptly and efficiently and immediately dispatched a replacement. A good measure of a business is how they handle matters when things go wrong - could not fault these guys - they were as good as their word.

I found what I was looking for on the website and ordered no problem. Confirmation email to say that order received and all seemed well. After 2 weeks good not arrived so I called and emailed. Eventually someone answered and I was told my order had been despatched that morning but it would take "10 working days" for the delivery and they sincerely apologised on behalf of Royal Mail. Another week and called again and was told that goods still not despatched and it would be "10 working days". I was ordered the option of cancelling the order but decided to wait. Still waiting.....

Bought 4 solar rock lights on an ebay litecraft deal, very pleased with the service and quality of the items received. I have bought a lot of lights from this retailer over the years and the overall service from them keeps me going back to them as they are always my first choice. As always I would recommend litecraft to anyone who wants a no-nonsense what you see is what you get rock solid product that's backed up by a service and aftercare that's equal.

AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE COMPANY,still waiting for my delivery,i have phoned litecraft every day and been lied to, i never get a call back, it is a terrible company with terrible customer service, they are rude, no help at all just take your money, i cant believe Debenhams deal with this company, it is a disgrace.Just look how many bad reviews they have, they need closing down!

We have just discovered the shop in liverpool and we are glad we have! Bought a fab huge lamp for a fraction of the price in a big high street store...very pleased! Also bought 2 lamps for bedroom. The choice was fantastic and the staff were great. They didnt pester us or follow us around...which we hate in shops. The lamps were all great and we couldnt choose! We will definately return.

Ordered 2 sets of complimenting lights, 1for hallway and 1 for landing, paid online, thought good thats that out of the way having searched around for something the family could agree on and then by chance read a few review sites 5 mins after my card details had gone off. Felt quite sickened by the negatives and thought - here we go - a load of hassle particularly because they were in the sale and cross with myself for not reading up first. I next to never send up reviews but fairs fair and on this occasion it went like clockwork. Ordered late in the day so lights came day after next with e-mail tracking sent on day in between. Day of del. another e-mail narrowing it down to 1 hour and they arrived, intact and pretty much just what I wanted to say I hadnt seen them for real in a store. Sorry to those that claim a bad experience. It probably was just like you said but to those who have paid like I did then read up and worry - dont. You may be pleasantly surprised. I will simply cut and paste an email i sent to litecraft following purchasing lighting for the whole of down stairs ...all the lights were excellent, well priced and when i had problems with not knowing one of the lights was not dimmable and needed to exchange, then the different replacement had a manufacturing fault (marked glass) they dealt with it all without any issues or problems >>>>(email as sent): Thank you, Also fyi the replacement light (initially sent back as it had markings in the glass of the diffuser) arrived today and is absolutely fine. I would like to thank your company, Litecraft, for its excellent customer support and understanding. I am truly impressed and will be a returning customer. Many Thanks *RECOMMENDED*!

Excellent product that does exactly what it says on the tin. Very easy to fit (9 in 2 hours), once I resolved the ambiguous and confusing instructions on fitting the springs. Worth pointing out that the item contains fittings for both 240v GU10 bulbs and 12V MR16 bulbs, which is not clear from item website. If the ceiling is uneven, e.g. Artex, light will seep out around the outer rim. I resolved this by applying a bead of bathroom sealant inside the outer rim, which then sealed fitting against the ceiling. Very good customer support.

Bought some lights last November only to find the glass shade from one of them on the floor, it had literally broke in half ( not hit by the way) I had lost my receipt as it was 6 months since purchase and had resigned myself to paying for a replacement. I contacted customer services as a long shot for a free replacement - the response to each of my e-mails was within minutes and eventually they traced my order from the date of transaction i found on my old bank statement, contacted the store i purchased it from, they rang me within the hour to say they had a replacement of which i called in and picked it up - they even gave me a copy of my original receipt to boot Superb

Ordered 2 celling fans, read the terms and conditions, commissioned an electrician to install them (as they insisted) and after fitting one tried it and found it to be so noisy and wobbly that there was no way you could sleep in the same room. Had to pay the electrician to remove it and fit the identical fan (Arizona) that is over 14 years old but still better than the new ones. Got a refund of the purchase price but still left or £90 out of pocket on account of the company.

Ordered some spotlights from here and sold wrong ones when I collected them. Promised by them to send adaptors none arrvived. Phoned again and wrong ones delivered. 4 trips to store, 6 phone calls and still not resolved. Worst service I have ever experienced. AVOID!
