Good Points: Good technical control.
Bad Points: Nausea-inducing and endlessly-recurring cutesy themes.
General comments: Don't get me wrong; I have the utmost regard for the quality of Anne Geddes' images. They really are good, well executed and - considering how hideously awful kids are to photograph - technically profligate. However, the point about this book is that it concerns cute babies, not to be confused with Geddes' previous books (which concerned cute babies) or her next selection of offerings (which are rather likely to concern - amazingly enough - cute babies). Her BW images are good....but it is the repetitively mawkish, cutesy images of kids dressed in ridiculous costumes or in ludicrous positions that makes on reach for the in-flight bag. Sorry, but really - the world is tragic enough without this sort of thing.
