Good Points: Fiberglass reinforced body -315 fps with .2(tested by Airsoftgi with AE .2) -470 round Hicap that CAN be cliped together using the knobs -hop up is EXTREMELY easy to use(for those who have the ICS M4, its even easier then that) -sights are great for quick shots -no creaking or flexing body, SOLID -folding stock=compact -selector switch can be switched by either side(left or right side of the gun) -charging handle can be pulled back by either side also -comes with the top rail, two side rails and the bottom one, enabling you to mount anything pretty much -two different apertures for the sight -both adjustable for windage and elevation -high rof(Rate of Fire) for a stock gun -adjustment to the sights will not move -sling loops are on both sides of the gun
Bad Points: Battery space is an issue, i am able to fit a 9.6 1500 battery in, but it takes some time - the two different apertures are pretty much the same so your just better off sticking to one of them -windage and elevation requires a hex wrench -accuracy is decent, although i have seen stock guns have better range and accuracy(this may be because of the longer barrel) -screw in the magazine may become loose and fall off causing your magazine to actually separate when enough for is used to pull the mag out -selector switch may become wobbly and requires a hex wrench to tighten -sights arent that great for anything beyond 100 feet -charging handle will break if you let it slap foward
General comments: I do not have a favorite brand or favorite gun. The review is based off of my experiences with the gun. I own guns made by TM, ICS, CA and more. I am not promoting any in particular, but just trying to give info to anyone who has questions about the gun. I would first like to say, even though compared to other reviews, there may be a good amount of "bad" points to this gun, most are easily solved and can be remedy with a hex wrench or a few upgrades. I will start off with the bad points. The battery compartment is decent and will hold a 9.6 1500 battery, which to some may be big for a gun which houses its battery in the forgrip. But to some like myself, it may be small compared to other batteries out there(i have a 9.6 4200 mah crane stock battery). The two different apertures they give you on the 36c are pretty much the same. They barely vary in diameter but if you look carefully enough you can see one is a tad bit smaller. The next bad point may be a good thing. To adjust the sights you need a hex wrench and if your like me, i usually dont carry a hex wrench around me, although most airsofters do(they are the basic tools for airsoft). At the same time the user can be confident that his sights WILL NOT move around when in use. The accuracy on the 36c is decent and is good for a short barreled gun thats stock. The barrel is a 247mm, 6.08 stock brass barrel and is a bit bigger then the mp5's barrel. Replacing the stock one and buying a tightbore 6.01-6.05 will increase the groupings of the rifle. i am able to hit a target a good 50 feet always(without the gun zeroed). The target is orange juice carton so compared to a human chest its small. Basically the gun is accurate for the size and the fps. My first problem with the gun as soon as i got it was the magazine. It feeds flawlessly but when i inserted the magazine in the gun, i didnt seat it properly and it fell and hit the ground. The magazine did survive the fall and everything functioned fine and the knobs to interlock other mags were in place, the small screw at the bottom had fallen out. The magazine as a result now moves out of the shell from time to time. *tip to users* make sure you tighten that small screw before going out on a skirmish, because you dont want a small screw lost in the woods. Also the selector switch will become loose after a while. Although my gun does not switch to semi or to full by itself it feels a bit loose. No worries to those who are concerned this can be fixed with a small hex wrench and a bit of tightening. This is done by turning the gun upside down and screwing the small hex screw on the selector switch. The sights personally arent that great for shots over 100 feet because your targets will be getting smaller through your front and rear sights. The sight is great for short-medium engagements 30-110 feet tops. Although i can still hit targets from 130-150, it takes practice in getting used to the sights. A reflex sight is recommended. The last "bad" point about the gun, is its charging handle. Personally its built with ABS plastic but like the HK slap on the mp5, sooner or later it will break. If you let the cocking handle slide back into place slowly you will never have the problem of breaking. Classic Army does have replacements of the handle, and can range from 45+. Now i would like to address the good about the gun. I have NOT upgraded any of the internals or the externals and have been using the gun for a good time now. The gun has a BEAUTIFUL body and i must say it did shock me how great of the build the body was. The body is like plastic but is hard and solid. The gun is light but is heavy for its size. The gun chronos at 315 with AE .2 gram bbs. This was tested by AirsoftGI. This is about a good 35 fps more then the Tokyo Marui( I have nothing against TM or any other brand so this is not a biased statement or opinion) Another great point about this gun is its 470 round hicap magazine. The last 30 rounds or so will not load because there will be not enough spring tension in the magazine, so in reality you have 440 rounds or so to fire off. The magazine can be interlocked with one another allowing you to clip up to 3 magazines together(3 is the suggested number of magazines clipped but it is up to the user to clip as many as he/she wants). The hop up on the gun is extraordinary. For those who are familiar with the ICS M4 it is like that, but the wheel moves a lot smoother. For those who are not familiar with it, its basically a wheel that you push up or down to adjust the hop up. This is great because the hop up DOES NOT move at all when firing(like the M16 hop ups do excluding the ICS m4-m16). Although the sites arent suitable for long range shots, they make up for short-medium range shots. They are easily lined up especially when your pressured and you need quick and clean follow up shots. If you can visualize the mp5 front site with a m4 rear site that is in the shape of an box, that is what a g36c sight looks like. Again the body has no creaking or flexing ANYWHERE on the gun. The folding stock is easily folded or unfolded. To fold there is a button that you press to release a latch and the user can fold the stock over to the right where it clicks into place by the shell deflector. To unfold the user slight tugs/pushes upward and then swings it around the stock clicks into place. I have held the gun upside down by the stock itself and moved it around and the stock is securely in place. The selector switch and the charging handle can be either switched or pulled by either side. People who are lefties will have no problems using this gun, or right handed people alike. The gun comes with 4 rails all together and the user can mount almost anything. The bottom one and the two side ones are metal but the top rail is the fiberglass reinforced ABS plastic body. I personally would rather have a metal top rail, but the stock rail will do the job. I have already mentioned adjusting the sights and how they will not move so i will not go into depth about them, and the sight apertures. The ROF on the gun is impressive, and does a great job at spitting bbs out as fast as possible. Also the front sling loop is on both sides of the gun making it possible to attach a three point sling on either the right side or the left side. Overall I am impressed and satisfied with my gun, there are a few cons to the gun but everything eventually does break or does need maintance so i will not complain. This gun is definitely recommended to anybody who is looking for a compact gun and whats to fit in a rifleman or mostly assault role or just for plinking.
