New ID Burlingtons, Manchester - I got the makeover for two for myself and my sister as a christmas present and we decided to book the date to coincide with my birthday. I have to say that we were both left feeling extremely disappointed by the whole experience.
On arrival we were not greeted by friendly staff and with Bucks fizz as mentioned. The staff if anything seemed as though they could not be bothered to be there and we had to ask several times for a drink rather than being offered. There was a lot of waiting around and a general feeling of being on a production line rather than it being a special experience.
The hairdresser appeared completely miserable although they did do an ok job on my hair and whilst having my makeup done I was made to feel like I was pretty mingy and told that I had 'congested' skin with no advice offered on what I could do to improve this.
The 'manicure' involved us having our nails filed and painted and my sister didn't even get this as she was told her nails were too short!
The actual photography session was quite fun although again it all felt very rushed but I have to say the person taking the photos was the friendliest person there. When it came to selecting the photos at the end of the day the guy was initially very upbeat, friendly and complimentary on our photos. I expressed interest on more shots but after hearing the ridiculous price that they would cost (just to have them on disc) refused and just said we would have the free shots. He then became very rushed and seemed rude towards us and only then informed us that it would cost £10 to have our pictures changed to black and white! All he had to do was to click a button on photoshop!
I booked the makeover because I thought it would be a nice relaxing day where we would get pampered and made to feel special. All we got was miserable seeming staff who seemed as though they wanted to be anywhere but there. It also felt as though we were having extra products and expenses pushed onto us throughout the day which I can understand but we shouldn't have been made to feel bad when we refused.

The haircut was just ok. the nails and make up were rushed on my visit as was the photoshoot, though there was lots of waiting around.
The greatest disappointment was the cost of the photos { the cd of the shoot costs over £2000. we were offered it for £800 by the salesman which is still extortionate ,as you will obtain far better quality for under half the price elsewhere }
I would never think of buying this experience, as a gift for anyone.

I bought a 'Deluxe Makeover experience' at New ID Burlingtons in London for my girlfriend and I (in all seriousness it was more for her - not really my cup of tea). From first entering the salon in London, we had a very warm welcome from the receptionist and was seated and given a lovely BIG glass of bubbly. We then went through the whole look that we wanted, etc etc. By the time we got to having the photos taken we looked amazing! My girlfriend looked fantastic and naturally i looked as great a ...

Just wanted to write a note to New ID Burlingtons, Manchester to say thank you for an amazing day. My partner bought me the gift to try and increase my self confidence. Prior to the shoot we both worked hard at the gym and dieted so that we could look our best. I have always had issues with my appearance, never thinking that highly of myself. But after seeing the photos of us, especially the underwear shots, I was shocked yet pleased that I actually look ok! My partner desperately wanted to do i ...

I've always wanted to have some professional photos done but never got round to it so, the gift of a New ID Experience from my mum was the perfect opportunity and I have to say it was the best present I could have ever wished for!! I've always wanted to have a go at modeling but have never had much self confidence and didn't think I had what it takes so, I was completely overwhelmed when I saw the photos, they were amazing, I looked like a pro! From the moment I walked through the door to the ti ...

After reading the reviews on here I really wasn't looking forward to the experience day, which had been bought for me as a gift for my 21st. However, I ended up having a good experience and enjoyed the day. My experience was at the studio in Manchester and was with one of my friends. We were greeted by a receptionist and another member of staff, who took our bags and coats and showed us to the waiting area. We were only waiting for about 10 mins when we were asked through to the make up room. Th ...

The end result was excellent. The photos produced were amazing and I really didn't think I could look that good! The price was a little too high my liking, but when you think about the number of people involved in the day, I can sort of see why...

Was given this as a birthday present and went with my sister for a girly day out. Admittedly we were firmly only going to get our 'free picture' and have a nice day together but had the photos turned out better I would have definitely been interested in buying them.
On arrival it was a bit vague, no one told us what was going on and about 40 minute wait before anything happened. We had a manicure with the worst manicurist ever who on noticing my wedding ring immediately asked really inappropria ...

I had an amazing time at Burlingtons and New ID, the staff were so friendly and helpful, i ended up with the best haircut I've ever had!! The make up was heavier than expected but i found out it has to be as when you get in the studio it doesn't show! Would recommend the day to anyone.
Had a truly wonderful time and the atmosphere was great.

I hated the experience! My husband gifted me with a 'Deluxe Makeover experience' at New ID Burlingtons in Manchester, but the experience was far from deluxe!
I received a very cold reception at the Burlingtons Manchester studio, and was NOT greeted with a drink or bucks fizz as promised. I wasn't even offered a glass of water!
I received no consultation... I was asked what I wanted, but I didn't get what I asked for. I kept saying that it was not the look I was going for, and I was told th ...
