I booked this for my sister and me, as my sister was coming up to visit me in Manchester. When we arrived, we discovered that despite my deposit being taken by the woman when I booked, no such booking had been made. This meant that no stylists were available for the haircut. However since my sister was only visiting for a short time we had no option but to do it without the haircuts. The hair stylists were good but the make up very unprofessional as with the nails - the make up artists were very painful with the foundation brushes in our eyes! The photographer was probably the best but afterwards, the 'viewing room' was not available so we had to wait an hour, after which we were told to go home and we would receive the contact sheet in the post the NEXT DAY. This was two weeks ago. So I have paid £100 (deposit remains unrefunded) for NO HAIRCUT and NO PHOTOS. My contact sheet has not arrived and we had no haircuts. And my complaint letter is unanswered. I am on this site because I am looking for a non premium-rate number on which to call the branch directly. A shocking experience, total rip-off.

I had a great day with my boyfriend (who I had to drag in kicking and screaming by the way as this is not his kind of thing on any level) in the Newcastle branch. I thought the salon was lovely and it was really clean and all of the staff were really friendly. Courtney met us for our appointment and was really helpful, got us drinks and helped me keep my man from legging it! As well as telling us exactly what to expect that really put us both at ease. We got our hair done first off and we were b ...- Read Guest's review (494 words)

I also had a great day and a great experience with New ID Birmingham. My best mate got me a voucher from Buy a Gift, I still had to put down a deposit but it was explained to me that what ever I put down would be matched by the studio when used to purchase the pictures so basically you got twice as much as you pay for. I found all of the team to be really friendly and helpful. I loved my hair do and it was done before my make up and then touched up again afterwards directly before the photo shoo ...- Read magicsam's review (518 words)

My sister booked the deluxe makeover at New ID Burlingtons for herself, her best friend and me and we went to the Manchester studio yesterday. It started off very well with the receptionist offering us drinks, but went downhill from there. Our shoot @10.am started slightly late and we were the last ones to leave at 5.00pm in the evening - I couldn't believe the amount of time it had taken and most of it consisted of waiting for something. We didn't bring any snacks or have lunch (we were told th ...- Read Guest's review (222 words)

Had a brilliant day out with my boyfriend in New ID Burlingtons, Manchester, everyone was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. I loved my make-up and my stylist did a fab job of my hair. My boyfriend too was pleased with his haircut. Couldn't fault the day atall it was just difficult choosing the best photos, we wanted them all! We have already got them and its only been 6 weeks although delivery time states 7-8. I have recommended it to all my friends and family.- Read Rose Grace's review (87 words)

Just got back from a day at the Id experience in Manchester. Really enjoyed the day, didn't have to wait around much which was good. The hair and makeup was good, didn't think much of the hand treatment though.
Photographer was really nice and so was the guy showing us our pictures.
Overall i would say its a good day out and it was a laugh....but, you better make sure you have some money saved up because it isn't cheap!
After seeing our pictures and wanting a few edits on them, we found out it w ...- Read xdiandix's review (377 words)

HONEST REVIEW:NEW-ID studios Manchester King street
To start off, myself and my sister are not the types to get easily impatient but when our 6 hour day (ID studios state it lasts a maximum of 6 hours) turned into a 9 hour day of being rushed around, messed around and made to feel miserable, it wasn't all that great!
The staff I must admit were lovely- I couldn't really fault the receptionists and they seemed more than happy to provide us with drinks at different intervals during the 9 hour day. ...- Read Guest's review (541 words)

I bought this experience for two at New ID Burlingtons Manchester as a Christmas present for my stepdaughter and took her and her friend to Manchester after their GCSE exams finished in June. The girls adored being pampered, loved their new hair and felt a million dollars in the make-up. If we'd left then, they'd have looked back on it as a really fab day. Unfortunately, that's where it all went wrong - we hung around for ages and ages before the pics were taken and it was a good job I'd taken s ...- Read Guest's review (238 words)

New ID Burlingtons was 'OK'. Dont pay extra for refreshments, just buy your own drinks and bring them. Had to wait 35mins just for someone to see me. Enjoyed the photoshoot session but its very exspensive to buy additional pics.- Read Guest's review (73 words)

Fabulous day out at New ID Manchester. Great photographer who was very professional and made you feel comfortable in the different poses and sets.
We had the experience with Tesco clubcard vouchers with photoshoot and 5 images of choice on CD and 5 A4 prints included. When booked we paid a £200 rollover fee which they matched meaning we had £400 to spend on extra prints.
When it came to viewing and choosing the images they were not pushy and was given a great deal. Usually all i ...- Read Hazz89's review (154 words)

They make it sound like you get a lot more than you actually do. The make-up was done very well. They gave me a price list showing the cost of the make-up. If I had bought everything on the list it would have come to just short of £179. The 'hand massage' they promised was a quick rub of some cream on the backs of your hands. The nail polish applied began to chip away after only a few hours. The hair styling was very basic as they would not trim or colour unless I paid additional money. I ...- Read Ryansmum's review (401 words)

I went to the Manchester New ID studio, and had a fantastic but long day. We were greeted with friendly staff and offered drinks straight away. Then the hair stylist, who was very friendly, talked to us about what he is going to do and made it very clear. We then had our make up and nails done which was done very professionally. We had to wait around a bit before we had the actual photoshoot, but we had drinks served throughout the day. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We waited about a ...- Read ellhaz's review (140 words)
