    Good Points: personally i loved the feel of it, great construction, hardwearing metal, plastic bits didnt feel plastic.


    Bad Points: poor internals, most people seem to like them, but mine has worked for approx 21 days out of the last 6 months ... got it back from getting the piston mod that converts it to use a normal piston, and something else brokethe rail on the top is neither straight or quite 20mm as i believe they are meant to be ...battery replacemnt requires a screwdriver and is rather fiddly


    General comments: i bought this Army Armament sa80 L85 gun second hand, but it had only been used once previously

    Love this Army Armament sa80 L85 gun!! just as shame that when i took it apart to get a bb out of the internals the cocking handle no longer shoots back like a real gun would any more

    ive had my Army Armament L85 for about 5 weeks the front end of the barrel has become lose and taking the battery out is a joke, looks great feels very heavy. at the moment its not working the fuse blew now ive changed it the gun wont fire iam just getin a click from the gearbox, about 5 miutes ago i tried it again there was a flash and some smoke, tried another fuse,same thing and i am using the right fuse. sorry i bought it and now want the ak74u.

    I love this weapon. The good point about this weapon is its simple to use well at list the really one is anyway

    Overall its looks and feels the biz. fairly accurate, mines groups at 12" at 25m with the odd straggler.

    It looks good because its got everything back to front the mags behind the trigger and the stock is behind the trigger.

    The Army Armament SA80 is great to fire, very powerful and a lot of fun to use. I really like this gun.

    All in all a good solid gun that looks the deal and is much much cheaper than the other options currently on the market, used in several skirmishes now and generally fine.

    Had to replace the hop up and a tighter barrel is the next change but otherwise don't even think it needs a SUSAT

    I fired the real thing. I Find this to be a very realistic copy of the original 10/10
    very accurate
    very fast rate of fire both single fire and automatic
    the bolt relase feature is a nice addition which makes it feel overall more realistic.

    Great gun! I recommend to anyone that likes the bullpup design. The r85 can compete with even the best AEG's and is 100% reliable.

    The sa80 All I can say is there is so much metal content on the L85 it would be easier to say what is plastic, as per the real deal only the front hand guard, pistol grip are ABS, at nearly 9lb its not a light gun, 339 fps, uses 450 rds high cap mages, fully adjustable front and rear sights, and even has a gearbox release switch so no more leaving springs compressed and also a lock back on the bolt,
    Battery neatly fits into the front end and top hatch makes easy access to charging, it sits nic ...
