Good Points: Dirt Devil Swivel Glide - Extra long 30 foot non-tangle cord. Removable attachments caddy. Remove caddy and reinstall screws. Easy to change belt. The roller brush has an axle so when you have one side lined up to reinsert it, the other end is already aligned to push into place. Fairly quiet. Quality bags may be purchased for this model. Drops down flat on the floor for cleaning under tables. Very bright light to help in dark closets. Very light and easy to push around and carry.
Bad Points: Because of the caster swivel wheels on the back, the Dirt Devil Swivel Glide does not like to be pushed forward with the power off. You have to learn to pull it towards you like a child's wagon when you want to move it around with the power off. When you have the carpet height set to a very low level, like for indoor/outdoor carpet or bare floors, the caster wheels on the back for us just slide around on the floor and we had to learn just to use the front wheels for direction.
General comments: The Dirt Devil Swivel Glide M086370 must be totally different from the MVP model. Check your Dirt Devil model number by looking on the back of the vacuum, all the way down at the bottom. It is stamped into the plastic and also has your warranty information.
I was another consumer who got duped into buying "bagless" vacuum sweepers and actually bought two before I wised up and went back to vacuum sweepers with bags. Bagless vacuums in my opinion are not "user friendly" as they appear in advertisements. Instead of a bag that you just replace when you want, bagless vacuums have 2, 3 or 4 filters that you have to continually monitor and clean. Everytime you use a bagless vacuum the filters are getting clogged. With my Dirt Devil, I change the bag whenever I think it may be getting partially full.
I bought the Dirt Devil at Walmart for about $50 and it works perfectly.
I dont have so much dust collecting around the house anymore. I just pull the Dirt Devil out, use it for a few minutes, then put it away.
I have never used the Dirt Devil MVP, but I assure you, you will like the Dirt Devil Swivel Glide M086370
