The Panasonic TX26LM is one of many Panasonic TV sets on the market today. As well as incorporating more modern features, being an LCD TV this will consume less power than standard CRT sets.

Good Points: Easy to navigate and adjust. Also easy to maintain. All you need to do is to dust it from time to time. Just be careful not to damage electronics (use soft brush)

Bad Points: The picture quality is not as good as in similar sized Samsung models and the sound quality is appalling especially when playing old cassettes.

General comments: The Panasonic TX26LMD70 is a nice TV although Samsung models are cheaper and have better picture and sound quality. Some problems may arise when using a feather duster instead of soft magic cloth but these can easily be avoided. Watch out for bleeps when changing channels. These only happen with BBC channels presumably because the BBC is tracking digital TV users. Also remote control is dull and similar Samsung models have much brighter colors if you are that kind of person.

Picked the Panasonic TX26LMD70 bargain up brand new at ASDA in the New Year sales.Great picture quality (I think best in class currently apart from LXD70 with 100hz and 8500:1) , decent sound, good menus with preview, good input selection, great remote and decent design. For the money cannot beat it, especially with a class leading HDMI upscaling Pioneer 400V-K DVD player for £60 delivered from SCAN!
