Good Points: Many excellent expositions about type and typography.
The section on conventions is very useful.
Bad Points: Annoying layout - many examples of bad design.
Authors should take their own advice.
General comments: Type and Typography by Phil Baines and Andrew Haslam is generally an easy to read art, architecture and photography book, but the layout makes following an argument difficult. Some pages are so badly designed, that one tends to skip right over them rather than persist.

Type and Typography is a terrible effort, Bains and Haslam have no idea about typography. Probably the worst typography book on the planet!- Read haslams mother's review (30 words)
