Good Points: Good while it worked!
General comments: After one year the motherboard just produced a short on the power supply which rendered the laptop useless. the solution to this problem was a change of motherboard. now, will a new motherboard last longer than ONE year?
The fact that the defect on the motherboard happened just one week after the warranty finished, they offered a £230 extension, but the replacement is £95. just bear this in mind before buying ADVENT.

Good value for the money. 2 GB ram upgrade makes a big difference to general performance. But dont expect a Rolls Royce for the price of a Skoda!Mandriva linux 2008 is a cheap alternative OS to vista. Tried installing XP but couldn't get the drivers to load well. Amazingly Mandriva 2008 off a magazine cover disc loaded quickly, sound worked and the wireless connection worked. I'm running the original Vista and Mandriva as a dual boot system.

None - rubbish piece of hardware in my opinion - buy something not supported by the TechGuys. In my opinion and experience this Advent laptop is slow, graphics rubbish, mouse annoying.I do not recommend the Advent 7203 laptop - load of old rubbish, save your hard earned pennies for a better manufacturer than dixon group own make as far as I am concerned.
