    Good Points: Very hardwearing & hardworking, as well as very light. Tactical stock always warm to the touch. Made in Birmingham.


    Bad Points: Probably a hunting range of up to 30yds in .22. Not spit accurate, & a very large & loud recoil, & a seemingly 'clangy' &'tinny'' firing action.


    General comments: I think the BSA XL Tactical Air Rifle is a good starter gun, expecially for the youngster, & depending on what you like, you will either love it or hate it. With mine in .22, only reasonable accuracy could be produced at a maximum of 30yds, & that was with a trial of ammo. Sadly, it was very loud & had a bad recoil. The power of mine was only 10.8 ft/Ibs & that was with a couple of months use.

    The BSA Tactical XL is a excellent gun for hunting with in .22 found this gun strange to the eye at first.Thought well I shall give it a whirl an see what happens shot 20 odd rabbits to date an 15 pigeons my ferrets are pleased with it any ways lol. I forgot what it was like to shoot springer's an getting that old recoil smacking me again to be fair I have not come across a better springer which offers full power and lightness combined its a great gun an recommend it to all beginners and seriou ...

    In general for the price, you get a fantastic weapon in the BSA XL Tactical Air Rifle, which can hold its own against higher priced springers.
    Its very easy to use.
    The XL Tactical is effective for both "Pest" control and for "Target" shooting. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
