written by brendamcmillan on 18/12/2017

Very disappointed with the finished look, the photograph hasn't been put on straight all out of balance. This was done in store.I also purchased 4glass coasters and a mug which are ok but a mug purchased elseware had an extra picture added with a greeting for less cost ,so maybe not good value either

“Unhappy customer”

written by on 07/11/2016

I ordered a book that didn't turn up looking anything like the way it had been uploaded. it was a memory book for my son for his birthday and he had his head chopped off and pictures chopped down, I emailed and was told that is my error but I no it wasn't like that when I clicked verify I emailed to explain this to them 5 days ago and they haven't even responded which is just bad customer service as it was a birthday present I have had to order another with a different company which was a lot easier to order and is a lot better quality. I would not recommend or order again I also do my weekly shop with them every week and will be using another store as I don't participate being ripped off. I wish I had read some reviews before ordering if I had I wouldn't of bothered.

“Late order an no response”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Gemma360 on 28/02/2016

Ordered a canvas print. The email confirmation clearly gave 7 days. Turned up at the store on the day and no print. Furthermore they could not give me any timescale or follow up on the order. Intended as a Birthday present so I am unimpressed. No response to email complaint sent.

“Late, faulty, late, poor customer service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Joannabail1 on 13/04/2015

Ordered a canvas from Tesco for collection in store, the email clearly stated it would be ready in 7 days and when I went to collect it the lady looked for it for about 10 mins and then said it was delayed. 4 days later I went back and it had arrived but the edge of the canvas was damaged! The manager said it had been damaged in transit and blamed a company called dex I was not happy so she said she could get another one sent. 7 days later I got a call to say it had come in and so made a special journey to get it, on getting it home we noticed that there was a scratch on the canvas that was about 2 inches long! Back we go again and the manager challenged me saying we had damaged it taking it home!! Well supply it in a box that protects it I said. After a heated discussion she said she could not give me a refund and that another one would have to be sent. 7 Days later it arrived and was ok but I will never order from the Tesco site ever again.

My photo calendars and picture was due in today and I'm now told that the order hasn't come in and can I go back tomorrow. Put simply, if an order is due on a certain day I expect it on that day! I now have 4 people with out Christmas gifts as I'm not around to collect the order!

“Fast printing, bad quality”

★☆☆☆☆

written by mtichbon on 22/11/2014

While the photos were printed within the hour the quality was awful, all the prints come out dark and yellowy. They like better in the raw format before I tweaked them, I couldn't just printed them at home!

I arrived on a sunday to be told could I come back another day as I wanted them to take the pictures and frame four pictures. Came back on the Wednesday still to busy went back on the Thursday to be spoken to like a piece of dirt. to be told she had had a bad day and apologies of which she gave us an appointment on the following day and 10 percent discount. I couldn't make the appointment so my partner took the boys well I could cry I have paid 40.00 for something that I will not even be able to use the lady obviously isn't qualified to take pictures as being a mother the pictures are awful, its my own fault I feel for using such a service as no one seems to no what they are doing.

“Laughably bad”

★☆☆☆☆

written by katoosh525 on 02/09/2014

Needed a whole load of prints in a hurry, and the mother in law recommended Tescos photo service. So we drive to the store, around a tenners worth of petrol, to find the store open (which we knew about, obviously) and the photo store closed (which we didn't, as their website is rather less useful than some popular diseases). On asking at customer services, we are informed that 'This is now operated by another party', meaning they have sold it. The prices were frankly a joke, with the headline price of 5p only achievable for very large quantities and a 3 day wait. Real world quantities or 'while you shop' waits weren't even close to this price. I would have liked a website that told the truth, opening times, prices, things like that, and I could then have decided to not bother, and use the internet. Snapfish (HP) handled the printing for 3.8p a print (including postage), and I wish I had never bothered going to Tescos. Summary, save your petrol, and the rather dirty experience that tescos always is, and use another service. Tesco: Oblivion awaits, Lidl (In sevenoaks anyway) is now a more pleasant experience, selling better food, for less money. This does not bode well for the future of your shareholders.

“Very Disappointed!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Jess2812 on 07/04/2014

I have ordered canvas for my friend's sons birthday. It was made by real awful thick heavy wood frame and image mirrored. Which meant his half of his head is on top of canvas and half of the feet folded into bottom of the canvas. He is not an object! Havent they got a sense to how to do their printing. Even though i chosen mirror image they supposed to be the experts. When i rang to customer service team advisor i have spoken to was very rude and read out the definition of mirror image. Disappointed in both canvas and customer services!

“Disappointing”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 494Serrano on 31/03/2014

Very disappointed with the quality of the photo. The seemed to have brightened the photo which has completely changed the colour the grass has went from a lovely dark green to a straw colour, my dog with a lovely deep mahogany colour has been changed to paler colour and I also have an upset photographer. It is not very good when a home printer can make a better job.

“My printer produces better quality”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ibblybibbly on 11/12/2013

Just ordered a couple of photo calendars. It looks and feels horrible and I am almost embarrassed to give it as a gift. It is cheaply bound on horrible paper and does not even feature UK holiday dates. The old adage applies that you get what you pay for, although £5 is too much for this given how rubbish it is.

spent more then 2 hours designing my photobook online, tried there automatic create and it cropped the pictures so half peoples heads were missing. was pleased with overall look online and chose a store further away because it said FROM 1 hour however they actually mean 7 days regardless of where you collect from only found this out after phone call to customer service. however checking status 3 days later status said ready for pick up in store so made special trip at end of long work day to be told no photobook there. store staff very helpful and phoned online centre who she reported were rude and unhelpful even to her and there is nothing they could do til after the 7 days. . photobox always great offers and deliver within 3 days only tried tesco because of a special ofder they sent through but will never use again take notice of all the negative reviews littering the internet and avoid

“Very poor quality”

★☆☆☆☆

written by EJTLAING on 15/08/2013

Having had cards printed as thank you notes following our wedding, the quality of the card is so poor that I really don't want to send them out. The clarity of our photo is by far lost in the reproduction of the card. Having paid to have them printed and waited a week for them to arrive I am so disappointed that I now have to pay another company to get them reprinted elsewhere. Distorted colour and blurred lines, if I could give less than one star I would have.

“They don't know which way is up ...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by AlanfromAlcester on 06/05/2013

I have used Tesco Photobook several times to create books for family members to mark the passing of their key anniversaries. I ordered two identical books in Jan 2012 and when they arrived one was perfect, but in the other the photos' orientation was offset by 90 degrees (imagine reading a book and folding the pages upwards). I chuckled and thought Tesco would just reprint one. Sadly no. After many emails from me and sporadic responses from them I still do not have the product I paid for. What makes me cross is that they seem to ignore my emails - don't they manage the Photobook operation? I am still writing to them, but don't even hold out much hope for an apology.

“Do not use Tesco Photobook”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 17/02/2013

I spent many hours of my Sunday afternoon creating a photobook for my grandparent and so it would be in time for Christmas. However, when i was finished creating the photobook the photobook would not upload to the tesco server. I tried numerous times on may computers to try and upload the photobook but nothing happened. PS. The programme is very difficult to use and is not very responsive.I recommend using Blurb instead it is so much more user friendly. I would definetely NOT recommend it.

“Disappointing Again Tesco!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 17/09/2012

This is the third time I have been disappointed with the Tesco photo service. In 2007 the pictures had to be reprinted because a white border appeared on 2 edges of all the photo's. In 2009 the photos were not great either, rather dull - the colours were wrong. At the time I blamed my camera and bought a new one, looking back at the digital images on my pc I realise that I paid for poor quality pictures - too late now. This year the pictures are all dark and have been significantly underprinted. I have over a thousand prints and the sun is missing from all the shots. They look nothing like the digital images on screen. Just feel let down and fairly depressed by this. I suppose I should have learnt from the last 2 times. Tesco you shouldn't be in the market if you can't produce. It certainly has left me feeling sour about Tesco in general.

“On line photo book”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Pursglove on 22/06/2012

Terrible customer service if you have the books delivered to a store. They don't tell you whether they have arrived or not and when you call the customer services they tell you that you must call the store to find out if they are there. You can't get through to the store by phone so you call in. When you call in they know nothing about it and say that Tesco online will email you when the goods are in which they deny. Customer services then tell you that the store should phone you when the goods are in the which they deny. You are shunted from pillar to post and no-one wants to help you. I travelled from one town to another 3 times to see if my photos were at the store, two of the times because customer services told me the books should be there. It was like being in a Kafka novel with no rhyme nor reason but less enjoyable. Use the service at your peril.

Hi, Can you confirm that low res exclamation mark on one of my photos will not show up in my photo book? I realise it will not be a good quality picture but I have no choice but to use the photo. Thanks for your help

I have done 2 photo books and at the point of sending to basket to order, it turned one page in one of the books as a ghost page and says it has pictures missing. But when I look at the book they are all there. I have emailed as had problems earlier in the week and lost everything, but heard nothing back so have had to do it all again, and now this. I don't know if I send it to print if one page will be washed out? It took me hours with over 300 pictures and I do not want to re do this again.
