It is very rare to read anything negative about Azamara cruises these days!. Since our first excellent cruise on the Azamara Quest in 2009, Azamara just keeps getting better. We have just returned from a cruise from Venice to Rome with ports in Croatia and Italy and it was all fantastic. The furnishings are not the most modern, nor the bathrooms or balconies the biggest, but what makes Azamara so great is the friendly relaxed atmosphere on board. The Azamara Quest is a lovely ship. With 700 passengers it felt a very friendly ship. Decor really lovely. Well maintained. Staff absolutely brilliant nothing to small to put right if needed. I didn't like having to pay for shuttle buses. For e.g. Venice a good hours walk to St. Marks Square (the centre) even for the very fit. Slight disability and you would have to get the shuttle bus which cost $15. per person. I felt this discriminated against the disabled. The average age on board I... (read more)
