    Good Points: Pleasant staff overall. Good food (not excellent, overall).


    Bad Points: Service was very good, but, not the excellence we expected - except from a few key staff members: Restaurant staff at Saletta (wonderful) and one of the spa staff. Could have done without the hallway PA system - with announcement every morning at about 8AM. We enjoy sleeping in during vacations...Service, otherwise felt a bit rushed, although friendly. Room was either too hot or too cold and no one seemed to know how to make the repairs necessary for comfort. Our room's refrigerator never worked the whole trip - and after, repeatedly asking for repair, the staff seemed incredulous that anything could possible be broken! Also, touring ports were terrible we traveled from Venice to Athens and everyone was wondering, "Why Kalamata, why Zadar!"


    General comments: We think cruises work better when traveling in groups. If you are an independent traveler, you will not like the "summer camp" (albeit Luxury) atmosphere. Also, be prepared to follow dress code directives to the "T" - or you will find yourself dining in your room....The Silversea, Silver Cloud was our first (and last cruise).... thought we would give it a try... but, we do not envision another cruise.
