    Bad Points: Cost - when new was £1000. Gets a little warm when working at 100% permanently but does not seem to have harmed it. i apted for the integrated graphics which is not great for gaming. If buying a Dell laptop opt for a sepertae graphics card.


    General comments: I really like the form factor, small and light but can still watch a DVD. Excellent build quality, keyboard is very easy to use for long periods, 4 usb ports, firewire port, really useful memory card reader built in. I have never had a problem in 18 months except the power supply packed up and Dell had a new one to me in 24 hours. Mine runs both cores at 100% permanently doing science work and is still quick enough to multi task lots of other programs.
    I like it so much I was really disappointed when Dell stopped making them as I planned another for my wife. Now planning a XPS1330. I travel extensively with it and would not go back to a larger laptop.

    Would not invest in one of these. Had problems right from the beginning. Was a total waste of money for me. Had to have most of the hardware replaced within the year of purchase and was then made to pay for a new battery one year after purchase. Had to pursue dell a lot before got appropriate response. Was a complete headache and not worth it.
