I really like the form factor, small and light but can still watch a DVD. Excellent build quality, keyboard is very easy to use for long periods, 4 usb ports, firewire port, really useful memory card reader built in. I have never had a problem in 18 months except the power supply packed up and Dell had a new one to me in 24 hours. Mine runs both cores at 100% permanently doing science work and is still quick enough to multi task lots of other programs.

“Would not invest in one of these. Had problems right...”

Would not invest in one of these. Had problems right from the beginning. Was a total waste of money for me. Had to have most of the hardware replaced within the year of purchase and was then made to pay for a new battery one year after purchase. Had to pursue dell a lot before got appropriate response. Was a complete headache and not worth it. (read more)
