Easy to order on their website, the price is very attractive and the delivery quick. The quality is impeccable, I am very happy with the product. I've ordered som soaps and rassoul as well, and I equally happy with their quality. Just keep in mind it is raw products, so the texture is different from the suppermarket as no chemical has been added, but that's why I love it ! I am making my own face and body cream with shea butter, coconut oil and argan oil, and my skin has never been so healthy and pretty ! It even prevent spots !

I have decided to write this review, because the mixed reviews on this (and other review websites) really made me wonder whether to go with Akoma or not. I was looking for raw shea butter, which I previously bought from another brand, but they no longer have stockists in London and as a result the final cost to me would be rather high. After the usual research, I had my eye on shea butter from Akoma because of the price without compromise of quality. Since I do not know anyone, who had purchased from akomaskincare.co.uk, I checked out the reviews online. Rather mixed opinions made me wonder whether to spend more money and use the company I used before. However, I decided to have a leap of faith and test the customer service before making the purchase. After ringing the first time a voice mail recording started, which almost made me give up. One minute later I gave them another call and this time got an immediate response. I voiced my concern and asked for assurance and explanation of how they do things. I also asked whether they offer samples of products. The lady said they do offer 3 different samples and the choice happens at the checkout. She sounded confident and so I decided to make the order. At the checkout I chose to use the service as a guest, which did not give me any option for choosing any samples. Immediately after the order was placed, I gave them another call to ask about the samples. A different lady answered promptly, found the order and made sure to add the sample request on their end. I had chosen the cheapest delivery option, but the package arrived very quickly. Everything was there as they promised, samples included. I have already tested the shea butter and am happy with the quality. In case you are wondering, the whole samples drama was to see whether they would make an additional effort and render the bad reviews faulty. They did, to my greatest relief, hence this positive review. Hopefully it will help someone, if in doubt.

This is a really great company. The products I've ordered have all been of top quality and delivered speedily to me here in the Netherlands. I find the prices very reasonable considering the things I've ordered have been organic and cold pressed oils etc. I'd highly recommend this place for fresh excellent quality products at a good price!! the plastic containers are also great if you want to make your own creams etc. good idea. :)

I am quite impressed with the speed of the delivery of my order. I am very excited to use my shea butter in my 1st mix. I was expecting a few packages but as soon as I smelled the aroma of the butters I knew immediately what was in the envelope. I have got to say thank you Akoma!! I am a mixed race female and I have started to go natural!! I use the shea butter 0n my hair and it has given me he best curls ever and my hair has started to recover after years of chemical processing!!
I also suffer from acne scars and spots and blackheads. After a week I saw the blackheads come to the surface and just Disappear!!! Spots calmed down after 2 weeks and I can say after 2 months of black soap and shea butter I'm happier with my skin, I feel like the women I should be. I can finally go ot without makeup!! No more squeezing spots that made me scar in the first place.
Service is great and well worth the money. Value for money.

Someone from a hair blog mentioned Akoma and out of curiosity, I went to the website and was amazed by the different types of natural products they had, and cheaper compared to another site I had wanted to order from. I am glad I decided to purchase from Akoma. The service is efficient, and the quality of the shea butter and black soap is excellent. I will continue to order from them from now on, as I am now moving towards natural products. Good after service too. Quite impressive.

We have always found Akoma very good with their Customer Service and Technical Support. I am not very technical but the support and guidence I received was excellent. Their products are fantastic. It has taken me years to control my skin condition and since using Akomas products I can now say my skin has improved.

It also makes me happy to know when I buy products from Akoma I am supporting the Akoma Cooperative who are trying to make a living and support their family and children. Sometimes we expect too much but when we take a step back our life is not that bad compared to those in developing countries.

Keep up the good work Akoma and I will contiunue to support the Women and their family in Ghana by buying your products. In addition you do have excellent customer service and I have spread the good news to my friends and family. My next order will be going in.

Recently become obsessed with good organic soap and have done a lot of search, been directed to this site for Afica Black Soap. I was a little adventurous for a bulk purchaser to be honest as I ordered a kg of black soap as well as other few types of handmade soaps from Akoma. I have yet to discover the brilliant side of the products but the delivery service was absolutely fantastic. Emails to confirm order as well as dispatching info and I received text to confirm when the package would be delivered. It even offered the option of changing a delivery time if necessary! All these happened within three working days after my order! What more can you ask for? Having read all the other reviews I am more confident that I would go back to Akoma again.

I was introduced to Akoma by a friend and am eternally grateful to her for the recommendation. Having recently discovered the benefits of natural products for afro hair I have found the breadth of butters and oils offered by Akoma to be a lifesaver. I have purchased shea butter as well as coconut, grapeseed, jojoba and sweet almond oil from Akoma and the quality of these products has been fantastic. I have recently purchased black soap for use on my face and this too is great. Akoma offers great value for money and outstanding quality products all with super speedy delivery (on 3 separate orders my products arrived within 48 hours) and the customer service is spot on (Angus who I believe is the owner, is particularly personable). I cannot rate them highly enough. (and no - I am not a relative!)

I am SO IN LOVE WITH AKOMA. After recently going 100% organic and natural I have hunted the internet for a reputable company that organicly and ethically source there products, Akoma is all of those things and more (A large amount of companies claim there products are organic when in reality they are packed with toxic and deadly chemicals). Akoma is raw and natural and organically certified. There Black soap which I recommend to everyone is amazing. The quality is fantastic and the raw natural products are luxurious and healthy to use. I have just ordered the raw shea butter and coconut oil for mine and my daughter's skin and hair. Finally I have found a site that I can buy all of my staple products from of the highest quality at a great price. my Mum also uses Akoma and makes delicious lotions and so forth with there products. I just wish I had found this site earlier.

I discovered Akoma products as my normal supplier of the African Black Soap was sold out. I entered 'African Black Soap' in a well-known search engine and "wall-ah" - there was Akoma and the rest, as they say is history! I use their Detox Soap and my skin is so clear. It was really bad with eczema type conditions and very flaky. After only two days the condition practically cleared! I also use their Hemp Seed Oil and Raw Shea Butter - brilliants products...Well done, Akoma! I would definitely recommend to a friend. I was somewhat suspicious of all the rave reviews here on review centre, suspecting that these reviews must have been written by Akoma employees (some companies do practice this devious method). I thought to myself "Surely, no company can be this good?!", so after overcoming my doubt, i placed an order for the African Black Soap. Considering it only cost a few quid and the fact that i can pay with PayPal, i wasn't that bothered should anything go wrong. I placed the order on Monday, got an e-mail confirmation of dispatch on Tuesday, got the soap on Wednesday! What more can you ask for?! Excellent service which i highly recommend and will be buying from them again.

Without even opening the appropriate and well sealed packaging i can tell from the distinctive smell and consistency that this shea is the real raw deal!

Very pleased with the service ordering on sunday night and reciving on tuesday afternoon. I received a text to let me know it was despatched and another on the morning of delivery.
