This is a great device. I spent 1.5 years with my iPaq and have found the HP 720 to be the answer to all the problems I had with the iPaq. The 720 is fast slick and usefull. I now will sell all my iPaq junk! (read more)

Too-brief. What problems did the 720 solve for you? What makes it superior to the iPaq?

I agree whole heartedly with the original opinion! I too have use an Ipaq and I have recently switched over to the Jornada 720 as it does solve the problems experienced with the IPAQ. The problems I found were:
1.) Battery life is terrible - forget doing much with the IPAQ without having a power cord around - even just sitting around powered off it looses it's charge at an alarming rate
2.) No key board - yes you can purchase an extra add-on keyboard but that is not terribly practical to use sitting in your car or in similar situations
3.) Small screen - have you ever tried to surf the 'net on a Pocket PC? Such a small screen is really frustrating
The Ipaq had its'strengths too - more applications are available for the Pocket PC and its small size was nice to tuck in a purse or pocket.
I personally found it much more useful to have the larger screen and the keyboard of the Jornada and the decent battery life meant I could be productive without being tethered to a power supply. And I have found enough software to satisfy me so as far as I am concerned the Jornada far surpasses any Pocket PC out there!
Hope this helps the folks looking for more details!
