Not a bad mixer for home use, fun and easy to use with a good sound. The Kills are good the crossfader is smooth too and the Fx loop is great if you have an fx unit like a kaoss pad.
It will break though, the channels will bleed th EQ's will crackle and that shouldn't happen on something of thos price. Totally unusable in a proffesional setting like a nightclub were these faults will be massively noticeable.

Damn good mixer. Friend bought a Vestax PCV 275.. I looked at 175.. then found the NUMARK Matrix 3 online.. about half the price of the PCV 175, all the features and reliability. Takes a beating. the little red lights on the xfader are stoopid, the blue power light is ill. sounds really good. Obviously doesn't have the chunky EQ like the djm5/600, BUT, BUT! It has the adjustable Curve which no other 3 channel mixer in hta price range does.

I was just about to lick out $1050 for the pionner djm600 when I discovered the Matrix 3. From the first song I faded I felt and heard the reliability. It's dj friendly whether you are a pro or just a beginner the knobs can't come off even under the most intense scratching.

The Numark Matrix 3 is the finest mid range mixer money can buy. Considering for the same money (approx £250) you would get the much inferior Stanton RM3. Recent poll by respected Dance Music.com (http://dancemusic.about.com/library/reviews/aatpMixers.htm) put this in the top 5 mixers of the world, alongside such beasts as the Pioneer DJM-600 and Vestax PCV-275A (both would set you back in excess of £450). Everything you could want and fully adjustable. Hook this up to an effects unit (it has effects presets, all adjustable) and be devastated by its flexibilty. Crossfader is fully adjustable and reversable, making it superb for scratch mixing with no loss at all, in line with Focus Faders. This is Numarks best non optical fader. I have used all the Stantons, all the mid range Vestax/Geminis and the Technics DMC. None compare to this for sheer volume of features and build quality. I have been mixing old skool and jungle for 10 years and have mixed on everything you can think of. Yea sure there are better, but only if you are willing to fork out a further £400!!
