    Good Points: Many options to control how you dry clothes and shoes


    Bad Points: Heating element and ignition failed on gas dryer. Support is spotty.


    General comments: I think LG is trying to offer premium products, but my LG DLE7177RM has failed 6 times in 3 years. Their support is very nice, but is unwilling to replace bad units unless they fail and cannot be repaired in the first twelve months. The GE Extended Warranty is good - but their service provider in the Bay Area doesn't expedite parts - and neither LG nor GE requires that - leaving a frequently broken, expensive appliance non-functional for weeks at a time. Not ready for prime time.

    LG did not provide the customer service that it promised. If you are considering a LG dryer I would recomend the gas model.
