Good Points: Great story, good prose, historically accurate, long

Bad Points: Sometimes repetitive, I don't like it when an author re-tells me facts in case I have forgotten them.

General comments: If you like historical fiction and enjoy a long read then this book will appeal to you. It is well written even if at times the story seems to be going nowhere. I loved the characters and thought they were well drawn and three dimensional. If you are looking for a true sequel to Pillars of the Earth you may be a little disappointed, this is a story in it's own right.
