Good Points: Chase-De-Vani was easy to contact and kept in contact daily. Chase-De-Vani staff were friendly and worked hard to get convenient times to view properties. Chase-De-Vani worked well with the landlord to arrange some changes in furniture. There was no issue with the holding deposit refund.

Bad Points: I accepted the property at the asking price and the landlord subject to references accepted us as tenants. I paid my holding deposit to Chase-De-Vani.The next day I was contacted by Chase-De-Vani and told that the landlord had subsequently been offered a higher offer and unless I matched it I would lose the property.Chase-De-Vani put all the pressure on me and took no responsibility for the broken verbal contract. They worked soley for the landlord and did not show any respect for my perspective.

General comments: I feel that offer and acceptance in general moral codes is a verbal agreement. I was in a position to meet the offer but on morale grounds I simply let the apartment go and collected my holding deposit. My logic is that how can one enter a dutch auction on property once trust has broken down. If the letting agent and landlord are not able to follow a simple offer and acceptance verbal agreement then how can I trust my family to be safe in their property. It is not a perfect world but I would not recommend Chase-De-Vani to anybody!
