    Appalling treatment from a money grabbing organisation that treats its customers like dirt. Having visited the Wakefield site 3 times, once to choose a car & twice to try and collect it, we were told at the last minute that there was a problem with our trade in and that they needed another £4oo! We had already committed to pay an extra £500 for guarantee and warranty payments! So much for their no haggling and customer service! They had to give us the keys back to our old car, we took our bags out of the boot of the car we were trying to buy and left building. Never to return to this type of place that is set up to systematically extort money from people.

    We bought an 08 corsa design a couple of weeks ago, we ordered it from Sheffield and was shipped upto wakefield and we picked it up at night when it was dark. Noticed two hairline scratches on the body that they will not put right because they sa we inspected the car in the dark and should have spotted it and then trying to accuse me that i had done this. Rubbers on both front windows coming off, they are going to fix this though as Vauxhall don't cover this after one year, should have been do ...

    Having thought this was a safer way to purchase a car, after 2 months (just passed their warranty) my car got sick (Engine Warning light) it is now going back to a garage for the 6th time to try and rectify!!!!!!

    So much for peace of mind!

    not a good expierence with The Car People. wanted to buy a car but i could not buy the car unless i bought all the extras ?? i just want to buy a car i dont want VRI super guard warranty admin charge ect ect ect

    Having spent three weeks searching the internet for a competatively price Ford Focus with low mileage I visited The Car People. I had visited two other ford dealerships in South and West Yorkshire and I found a poor selection of cars to choose from and uninterested staff. One adviser was very helpful and patient. A deal was done, and I collected my car two days later. Would have liked a little more for my 2004 trade in. However, will come back here again and not bother with the competitors. ...

    May seem cheap, but lots of hidden extras usually supplied for free by other car supermarkets.

    Would recommend The Car People to others, and definitely use again! Their prices are low and customer service brilliant.

    They still played the "good cop - bad cop" thing where the salesman goes off to OK the deal with his manager and comes back saying "he just wont go for that". I was only asking for 6 months tax not even a haggle on the price or the offer on my trade-in.
