Good Points: No good points for me.
Bad Points: Noisy - fridge has broke down 3 times in 6months with build up of ice, engineer has had to defrost each time even though its frost free.
General comments: My advice is do not buy it, hotpoint advice is to buy a 5 year extended warranty - I will not exchange! Makes strange noise all the time.

Poor customer service at Hotpoint. Unable to give time of day for service call. Failed to pass on contact info to service engineer.
We confirmed problem with auto-defrost on this model which occurs on some but not all.

Easy to clean, frost free freezer, looks smart. Food has to be sealed in air tight storage in freezer, if this is not done then it causes a build up of ice on the heater behind a panel in back of freezer. This results in the fridge not working. You only notice there's a problem when the fridge starts to smell. There's no temperature indicator to let you know the fridge is getting warm. The external size of the fridge looks big, but inside storage is inadequate. Food cannot be placed right at the ...

Fridge broke down after 6 months. Told by hotpoint that it needs defrosting even though its sold as "completely frost free never needs defrosting". Told that it is common for the fridge to stop working due to icing up of pipes. Had to defrost a few days before my sons wedding losing loads of frozen food. Also couldnt get an engineer out under guarantee without massive argument and Ive got to wait 9 days. Rubbish fridge freezer and really rubbish hotpoint customer services.

Noisy, cracked freezer drawers, lining of freezer cracked and fridge not working. Told it needs defrosting by engineer, though sold as completely frost free freezer never needs defrosting. Still waiting for an engineer absolute rubbish will never buy hotpoint again.

In the last 18months, the engineer has been out to mend it 5 times, it has eventually been 'written off'. The problems have been with the frost free device... Luckily I took the extended warrant out with Domestic and General, however, they have agreed to replace the fridge freezer but I have to pay £25 delivery cost and £7.50 to take the old fridge away!
