we went there last friday night and were very unhappy with our experience.
there was thirteen of us out for a meal.we were greeted initially by a bad humoured waiter who snapped at us because we had one cancellation even though he had been emailed previous to inform him.the first round of drinks was eventually ordered after what seemed a lifetime of trying to get their attention. it took another 20 minutes for him to bring the drinks to the table.the portions of food were miniture.some of... Had the Early Bird Menu in Franco's recently. The food was superb and it was excellent value. There was a good selection of dishes and a good children's menu - not the common menu of fish fingers & chips! The staff were friendly and efficient! Absolutely no complaints and I highly recommend! I live locally and eat here often. I have never had a bad meal. There is a range of prices to suit all tastes! Great atmosphere. Pleasant and comfortable restaurant whether it's a quick pizza or a formal meal you're looking for! I have no hesitation in recommending Franco's to anyone who recognises and appreciates good food! Don't understand adverse postings food is great,atmosphere is busy and decor is homely if potentially dark. The main thing is the food is great, both times. Service is good and pleasant, with knowledgeable staff. The menu is large but excellent and portions are large. Price reflects the quality of the food was happy to pay the bill. My only criticism was the dessert menu was predictable and no light dishes after two large courses before, but this is the case in many places.

Having about Franco's for years and believing it to have a good reputation we didn't hesitate to book a table on a visit to the area. What a huge mistake. Food extremely overpriced and for our visit, inedible. We left having just about finished starters to return to our hotel for a sandwich. Disaster. (read more)

Francos is split into two areas. On the first occasion, we were given a table in what can only be described as a working men's cafeteria area. It was loud, too many tables in a box and wholly lacking in any atmosphere. The food was adequate but wholly unmemorable. What added to the occasion was a loud and unpleasant drunken hen party, of about 20 girls who the staff seemed to have no problem letting scream and roar as much as they liked. So, lets be fair. Takes years to build a reputation - why didn't they just apologise to this lady who was breast feeding in Franco's restaurant.

My family will not be going back.

They are also the owners of Squires Restaurant on the Tempo Road. I'll be avoiding this also.

Such a pity.

I was verbally abused by a chef in Franco's restaurant dec07 for breastfeeding my 4 week old baby son. Owner did nothing about it. I have not received an apology. Disgraceful, shame on this eatery, shame on these people. (read more)

Franco's in Enniskillen is highly recommended. Justly and vastly more popular than any other restaurant in Fermanagh, but there will be some people for whom the experience is a little too 'relaxed' - for most people this simply adds to the appeal. Nowhere quite like it in that part of Northern Ireland; other local restaurants seem staid and dull by comparison. (read more)
