Good Points: Beautiful setting. Very picturesque and oldy worldy. Just far enough into the country side to forget that your only a mile or two from Edenbridge.
General comments: Although the food was tasty enough, the portions were miniscule. I would require several more courses to feel sated. The side veg appeared packety and again was insufficient. It seemed that I was paying more for the surroundings than the food. It wasnt cheap either!
If you want to sit in a pretty setting and slowly get sozzled this place is ideal. On the otherhand, if you're hungry, you had better bring a pack of sandwiches to bolster the seemingly measly food offerings.

I thought Haxted Mill was disappointing - neither one thing or another - beautiful place settings on lovely terrace but on plastic furniture; the food ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous (the side salad was a few mixed leaves only), and not quite enough of it although nicely presented. Seems as though it is trying to be something it is not.

McDonald's would be preferable to Haxted Mill in Lingfield, as the service was poor, there was no vegetarian option, and it was expensive!
