I've just had one of the most stressful dealings with a hosting company ever! It started several months ago with one of my IP addresses ending up on a blacklist. After scouring all my sites for a possible infection, I discovered the cause was on the route of the server outside of my control. I alerted VPSville to the problem and it was fixed almost immediately (well done!) I inquired several times to see what the cause was and what had been done to prevent it happening again. My 4 requests for an update went unanswered. I eventually gave up. Then, about a week ago, a similar problem arises. I notice memory allocations on the server being way over what they should be so I ask support to investigate. I get a prompt response telling me that the server is sending spam and I'm in breach of my TOS (terms of service). When I ask about the previous problem and what had been done to fix it, They suspend my account, without warning! After a number of unanswered support queries, I finally get a response promising me access to my files on the server, yet 5 days later still no access or response to my ever more desperate requests for an update. I would think very carefully before engaging their services

Expensive prices for utterly insufficient resources; often had "failed to fork" and other memory allocation issues with basic tasks even with no servers running on both Village and Town packages. Technical support was unpredictable; sometimes they responded immediately and at other times they were quiet. I was unable to retrieve my backup and had no correspondence for almost a full week. Decided to cancel my account despite having 2-3 months left. Not even worth having for free.

Been with them for 3 months now and my site is down all the time! I have yet to ping it over a 24 hour period but I would guess its only up 85-90% of the day, as I am finding it down several times a day. Saying VPSville support is bad would be too kind. Ive asked them the most basic questions and they have struggled to give me an answer. In addition to not being very knowledgeable they are not very kind either! I'm starting to guess its a teen age punk with no brain running a start up company. I should have done more research before I signed up!

I have a uk vps account with them and a openvpn account in the usa.
I haven't had any major problems with them and i am content with ticket response times.
I did read about major feck ups a couple of years ago but decided to take a gamble given tht there were no more negative reports.
I particularly like the fact that extra ip addresses are free.
Their forum response time is below par (eg compared to the likes of total choice hosting) but at least they have one.
Overall I would give 4.5 stars

I would strongly advise against going with VPSVille. Google for their various downtimes for more information. On more than one occasion, they have lost all of their customers' data on many servers with no recourse, no backups, and no information whatsoever. Their website just went offline, all customer servers went offline, and they didn't respond to anything for quite some time.
The real kicker, too, is that they just didn't care. They go down, they ignored their phones, didn't respond to tickets, didn't give anyone any updates. We were all left staring into the oblivion with no idea what to do.
VPSVille does not care about you or your business, just your money. Go to anyone. Anyone but them.

Very bad vps hosting company.
1 week i had 4 different problems with VPSVille, my lxadmin stopped responding.
They said i used over 10GB so again my VPS stop working! i never used more than 1GB of space.
Lots of downtime! i lost alot of customers because of this, now they shutdown my vps due to invalid reasons. He also gave me a partial refund when i requested FULL refund.

VPSVille is a Canadian VPS provider (virtual private server). These are very important to have if you need control of your site, such as if you need to install your own scripts and so on. What they actually give you is your own private server running Linux. You can install anything you want on it. You can even install a compiler like gcc and write your own software if you want. You can host an unlimited amount of websites on a VPS, but I only host about 6 for friends and family.
Ping time to me in Toronto is under 10ms, so they really are local. Pages load like lightning.
