I stumbled upon the Selffit Axion kitchen worktops web site when looking up information on a solid kitchen worktops. Self fit supply the Encore range of solid worktops, (which are made by Bushboard). The Encore range is, apparently, similar to Corian surfaces, which was the sort of thing I wanted.

Staff at www.selffit.co.uk was very helpful - they talked me through the range, what I might need, and the ordering process. I ordered online, and they followed that up with a phone call which was reassuring. It was absolutely essential that the worktops arrive as intended as I had fitters ready and waiting - I was assured by Self fit that this would be the case. Three days my planner personallly delivered the Encore worktop, breakfast bar, and upstands.

They look really great - they are not cheap, so do take note of your budget and how much you have to spend. In our case, they give a great, classy finish to a not very expensive kitchen carcass/doors.
