I have just recently bought a second hand webley tracker,it came with a 3-9x40 ags scope,a one piece mount, moderator, and also attached to the scope was an a hawke laser and torch kit.
I paid 180 pound for it and the rifle is in pristine condition it is in .22 calibre and it is fitted with a gas ram instaed of the spring.
it is capable of knocking over target out to 50 yards with no pronlem at all
i have been after one of these trackers for a while and am pleased to now own one and have...

I saw the Tracker when it first came out and fell in love.Handled wonerfully -almost a shame to ruin the symetry with a scope -and acurate . It accounted for loads of rabbits but began to lose power . The retailer sent it back to Webley who replaced it but gave no explanation of the fault . The new one did'nt feel anywhere as smooth or accurate as the original and before long the stock split. The retailer refused to sell any more Tracker because he had so much trouble with them . I... a superb gun, high quality, i was given my webley tracker tho just a little TLC was requierd but was a simple riffle to work on, spring is easy to change just a little fiddly no diagrams needed. it is the second rifle i have owned the first one was a .177 i have upgraded to a .22 this gun will be with me for quite a while, i would recomend owning this either for hunting or just target practice. excelent all rounder (read more)

I bought this Webley Tracker cal .22 gun from a friend in a poor state after a bt of restoration, re blacking the barrel and sanding down and re varnishing the stock, it is now looking as good as new.
Very accurate and quite powerful.

I found the Webley Tracker cal .22 to be powerful strong and great looking. However a bit heavy and a little loud. In my opinion a fantastic all round gun, bagging rabbit most days. Recommended gun got mine for £70 best spend in a long time, hard to find a good example these days but good good good. (read more)

Are you sure it's a silencer? My barrel ends at the very end of the bit that looks like a silencer so it's difficult o imagine it's a true sound reducer, I suspect it's a weight to aid the balance of the gun.

Great rifle for rabbits, Ammar.....can cock it whilst lying prone. I wonder are there any of those tasty rabbits in Baghdad.....I know you've got batteries!
Yes, it is on the heavy side but all the air rifles that are built to last tend to to be and now Webley are no more, it will surely become a classic.
Congratulations on your command of the English language Ammar, and please post again some time -- I believe you're the first from Baghdad with an air rile review.

Lovely gun, very happy with mine. But, heavy? struggling to agree with that tbh, in comparison to guns like Weihrauch 97 it's a featherweight. What other guns have you worked with?

I have been shooting with a borrowed Webley Tracker cal.22 for five months and have found it to be a fantastic little rifle. It is very light and small and the side-lever is quick and easy to get to grips with. I recommend the rifle for hunting as the whole package comes together well in the field. It is very shootable and is capable of very good grouping. It also packs a punch, I have taken many rabbits at ranges out to thirty yards. My Tracker has been gasrammed which improves performance... Had the Webley Tracker cal .22 for a while and I have mostly nice things to say about it. The Tracker is made for hunting and it has everything a good hunting rifle should have. It's very accurate and bags vermin after vermin. The light weight and small format makes it ideal for stalking prey.
The crack when fired is a bit loud, but hey, you cant get everything :)
Saw that someone thought it was loud when reloding due to the antibeartrap, but that's easily managed by pressing the lever to...

The Webley Tracker is a good hunting rifle, I have bagged many rabbits with it, and however it is not the most practical.
It is very loud in most aspects (outlined above), these sounds are very unwelcome and annoying when in the field. Often I can only get 1 or 2 shots of before my quarry has cleared. Plus the reloading mechanism is very time consuming
so like more and more hunters I am trading up to a precharged rifle.
Any who are interested in my Webley Tracker please check out -...

Does anyone know if a Tracker in .22 would stand up to a .177 Gas Strut being put in? I was told that they are not sturdy enough to handle the recoil over a period of time. I wanted to up the power of mine for work (pest control) and it would be cheaper to do this than go out and buy a new FAC rifle.

Mine is a .177 gas strut. so far so good.

THIS RIFLE IS FANTASTIC FOR HUNTING VERMIN WITH A GOOD SCOPE AND SILENCER IN PLACE IT WILL COMPETE WITH RIFLES COSTING MUCH MORE THAN THIS, THE INCLUSION OF A GAS STRUT FURTHER INCREASES ACCURACY LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. ALOT IS TO DO WITH PERSONAL PREFFERENCE AND IF YOU LIKE STALKING WITH A SMALL, LIGHTWEIGHT, ACCURATE VERMIN DESTROYER THEN THIS IS THE BABY FOR YOU MAKE NO MISTAKE FROM THE PRICE. (read more)

This tap loading small side lever has long been one of my favourite air rifles. Fit a gasram and the best silencer you can get and you have a fantastic hunting rifle. I have rifles that cost three times as much as my tracker but I still regularly use it. Due to its size this rifle would make an excellent first gun for a child. (read more)

This has got to be one of the all time greats, I have had mine for over 2 years and its seen off a TX200, HW77 and other quality spring rifles. Mine has a gas ram fitted which boosts its accuracy no end and makes it almost inaudible with webleys own silencer and with the cut recoil,Using a bi-pod really makes things easy!! (read more)

For shooting vermin such as mice and rats it's a hell of a beast, I occasionally have a shot at a crow in the trees at the bottom of my garden about 50 yards away and what a mess it makes of them and the vermin. If you give it a good scope, theres no denying it's one of the most powerful and deadly spring air rifles around. But when your only 12 years old like me, it's quite a hard gun to keep still, and also it makes a loud crack when firing, scaring away any targets that are near. (read more)

If you like moderate powered airguns with a nice compact carbine style then this is your gun! I have guns that shoot close to 20ftlbs but I still like my Tracker as a hunter. I have a Bushnell SPortview 4x32 scope on it and its an awesome hunter out to 35yrds. It shoots Wasps at 620fps and is very accurate. It doesnt come with a scope usually so its really made for hunting and scope usage. There is a reason these are one of the most popular guns in Scandinavia! Unfortunately for those... (read more)

Nice review Ed.
I've got the beastie in matte black and it looks 'menacing'. It does make quite a crack when fired but as you say a moderator does help. It's a well made, solid, dependable no nonsense gun which is designed to last a lifetime. The short compact feel is a big plus when hunting, and if a gun "feels" right then that's the one for you no matter what fashion make dictate. Like you I'll be happy to hang onto mine for a long time. Happy Hunting.

The 0.22 cal Webley Tracker air rifle is a beast of a hunting outfit!
That is if you can get past the loud crack of firing it.
Couple this rifle up with a good scope and it can hold its own with many of the pcp's for accuracy and power.
As for the mess it can make of vermin at close and long range, well lets just say it does the job admirably

The Webley Tracker 0.22 cal is a nice gun, which is very good for hunting because of it's compact design and accuracy. With this piece of iron and wood I have put an end to many a life of the ravaging crows and magpies, and I have thereby created peace and harmony in the area around my countryside resort. With the compact (only 36" long) tracker, it's easy to stalk through the shadows beneath trees and along with bushes, with the tracker I can easily crawl into position for The Shot. Webley...
