Feels good, agree that the mounting kit is bulky, but it works with no trouble.
Overall as a cheap and cheerfull unit is fine, have used other makes and this one does exactly the same job at a lower cost.

The RAC 215E sat nav - having a look on the web for a review is a pretty fruitless task for this unit - the only place I found anyone talking about this particular GPS was on the RAC Forums! To make this device visible you your PC (via a USB cable), you need to have a nerdy piece of software called ActiveSync installed on the PC, available "free" from the Micorosoft web site. I got this tip from Route66, who also told me that they provide no support whatsoever for the RAC StaNavs. There do not appear to be any map updates available anywhere.
