  The Braun 5895 Contour gives a reasonably good shave when it works! I have used electric shavers all my life but I think this is the worst Electric shaver I ever owned as far as reliability is concerned. The thin Metal Foil does not last more than 2-3 months and needs replacement. It seems one has to buy spares very regularly after buying an expensive shaver.

  I was given this for Christmas and I hate it. It is the worst electric rasor I have ever used in my life.It looks nice and I was quite pleased when I opened my present, however, after using it a few times, I've now had to admit to my girlfriend that I hate her present, as even this is a better option than using the thing everyday to shave with (and I can assure you I don't do this lightly, I have a very bad jumper that I still wear rather than tell her I don't like it, but I cannot use the Braun ...

  I've had this shaver for about 3 weeks now. It's much better than my previous Braun. I like the cleaning station idea - it leaves the shaver cutters and foil very clean and smelling nice. I bought this shaver on offer for £43.99 from a highstreet retailer - not sure if I'd pay £109 for it though (that seems to be the standard price at the moment)

  Having suffered from ingrowing hairs most of my shaving life I decided to try out the Braun Contour Series 5895. The product was selling at half price in my local Boots store. I was shocked by the closeness of the shave. I use the shaver every other day and find that this length of stubble is the most receptive to the foil action. I would recommend this product to all who have only experienced wet shaves. My ingrowing hair problem has improved especially around the neck area. Give it a go, with ...

  I have only had the Braun 5895 Contour shaver for a couple of weeks, and so far so good. I have been wet shaving for 20 years, and I had a go with one of those Philishave Nivea things - absolute rubbish! I went back to wet shaving.
  I was wasting time on ebay 1 night and ended up looking at the top notch Braun shavers and reviews, and I thought it was worth giving it another go for ease.
