It was great to be able to select whatever we wanted for our gift list, from individual items to buy, to trips for our honeymoon. It was also handy that we were able to break down expensive items into several smaller purchases to make them more affordable. This is a great way to produce a gift list that is both helpful to your guests (it lays it all out for them to make it easy and almost fun), and for you (once your guests have made their choices the team are extremely helpful). Thanks for your review. Just a little note for other couples thinking of using us - we also transfer funds out to you BEFORE you start buying anything if you want, we just have to deduct the low admin fee of £89 from the transfer, which is then refunded to you once you've made all your purchases!

This is such a great idea - we are looking to ask for money towards a campervan but had not thought of listing individual items - it makes it so much nicer for friends and family. Looks good to do it through The Bottom Draw but I can't decide between this and 'WhatToGive'.

Very good service, the gift list cards are great we put them in with our invitations and allowed all my guests to have easy access to my gift list. We were able to make up our own list based on what we wanted to do with the money from our guests, it was all for spending money for our honeymoon, but it allowed people to buy as an actual gift, like 'trip to the grand canyon', instead of us just asking for money, which some people do not like to do. it was fun and original and very easy to use. The gift list is fully flexible so you can tailor to individual needs, we added trips for our honeymmon, household items etc - anything you want! Does exactly what it says on the tin. We used BottomDrawer because we didn't want to receive 5 teapots and 10 sets of bed linen. We closed our gift list and took the cash instead. We also had two receptions one in Australia and one in the UK. As such we took some money out before closing the gift list for final. We also made them rearrange the order of some of the list for the UK reception.

We used The Bottom Drawer for our wedding list after reading the reviews but to be honest, we both thought it was too good to be true!
I agree with others that it takes a little more work than just picking things from one department store but we loved that flexibility and so did our guests who didnt want to just be stuck buying bedsheets or towels.
We had to get an interim transfer to get our luggage before our honeymoon but closed the list finally a few weeks afterwards.

We used Bottom Drawer for our wedding list as we didn't want to be tied down to one store or website's stock and price list. The flexibility is amazing and with affiliated retailers numbering all the big department stores and amazon (plus many, many more!) there were many items that we could add to our list and we could shop around for the best price too. It may take a bit more effort than just selecting items from a department store's list, but trust me, it's worth it.

Having been together for nearly 11 years before tieing the knot meant that we did not really need the usual wedding gifts such as toasters, towels etc.
