Good Points: The graphics engine, the jungle island missions give you so many ways to cruise around stalking your prey, and the fighting.

Bad Points: The game loses its way with a dull alien story that move the gameplay away from the excellent jungle warfare.

General comments: Just finished this game and I'm pretty disappointed. Was absolutely loving it up until the mountain, just enjoying the jungles, roads, rivers, beaches and villages. Great environments and great fighting with the innovative suit powers system. The storyline was dull as dogshit, totally lame 'heard it a thousand times before' dialog and voice acting (by the end I wanted to retch every time Psycho or that girl open their mouth), but I could look past that because the engine was so fantastic. Maybe I'm too harsh but I just finished Mass Effect before this and that had an incredible storyline, dialog and voice acting, probably the best ever imo, although it's battle system system was nowhere near as good as Crysis.

Anyways suddenly I am inside a mountain floating around in zero gravity getting a headache trying to figure out which way I orientated and where I should be going so I can get back to the fun. I had played straight through up until this point, but packed it in half way into this. I picked up again the next day with a walkthrough to help me get through this awful section. Sadly, even once you get through that the game only slightly redeems itself and never returns to it's former glory. The ice mountain descent is also a little disorientating but mainly boring as from here on out the jungle warfare days are over and you only do battle with 2 variants of the floating freeze ray squids. Finally a massively chuggy final level on the carrier due to there just being too many visual elements in an attempt to overwhelm you into feeling some kind of dramatic ending as you battle the final boss which looks like a giant turd coming up out of the ocean.

Really fizzed out for me, and not as good as lot of people are hyping it. The sequel setup at the end makes it very clear that the next chapter is taking the fight to the aliens so I'm going to have to give that a miss.

Crysis was supposed to be the game that redefined the shooter genre. Unfortunately it is a big disappointment for me personally.

I first got the game on the release date. It was unplayable, with any settings above the absolute lowest. My computer isn't slow. a 2.5GHz athlon X2 dual core processor and radeon 3870 should be able to play this game on medium settings, but they couldn't.

With the first patch came some hope. The performance improved, but not by much.

The game does look positively a ...

I wish ACTIVISION would get there act to gether like STEAM platform servers. I do recommend Crysis, however it could be bettered as so could Call of Duty 4.

Amazing Graphics and explosion shock waves are very fun to watch. Blowing up a helicopter with a rocket launcher is very satisfying. Nano suit can makes this game easy but without it, the game would be impossible/extremely hard. The hardness settings on Crysis do not seem to make the game any harder, just changes the langauage the koreans speak. The story line is good and is easily playable again and again as the game can be played in different ways. For a multi player it does not compare to Cal ...

This game is great if you have a very high end PC with DX10. I found this game virtually unplayable most of the time, unless I have it at 800x600 res on all low... My system should be able to play this game with no problems on LOW settings.I suspect many of the pre-release screen shots of the game were tweaked/modded somehow. I have screen screen shots from users on the highest spec PC you can buy, yet it looks nowhere near as good as the screen shots released by Crytek. The game play itself is t ...
