Good Points: Reliability, comfortable seat, 3 gallon fuel tank, 75+ mpg (125cc version), Much storage under seat and good hauling ability w/ the floorboard & bag clip. Affordable at around $3,000 (US)
Bad Points: No glove compartment, small dealer network, more guages would be nice. Weighs 300 lbs.
General comments: This is a commentary on Daelim's S2-125. Basically the same as the S2-250, but with a Daelim 125cc engine.
I use this as my "second car" and get a good 75 mpg. She has adequate power up to 60 mph as . One of the best attributes of the Daelim S2 series (125/250) is the impressive amount of things one can haul. The large floorboard w/ bag clip is great for groceries and combined with the generous under seat storage..it makes this scoot arguably the most practical in it's price range-if hauling stuff is important to you.
The ride is composed and the handling predictable. After my first oil change, the mechanic noted that my bike held just under 1 Qt. of oil. The manual says that she holds 1.1 Litres. Hmm...seems she burned just a little oil. Just wanted to mention this. Great bike, wish I had the 250cc version for 2-up chores.
