Good Points: Walkman
Camera quality
Functionality
Bad Points: Slow system
General comments: I got this phone on the day of release and managed to get it for free. My first impression of the phone was that the size was perfect and felt so nice. After using for a little while I was getting a annoyed of the speed of the system, it seems to be very slow, after now using the phone for nearly a year I have now found that the speed isn't an issue it was just me being impatient.
The Walkman side of the phone is amazing, the easy of loading the songs on is great and the sound even with the standard earphones was great, to be honest it beats even the Ipods!!
The camera although only a 3.2mega is great. I have compared it against the N95 with it's 5mega but the Sony camera is such better on colour and pictures in general, but rememeber it is a phone not a camera, it will not replace a good digi cam.
The functionality of the phone is so good, the video playback is smooth and can feel the whole screen. Everything about this phone is great except the speed.

The Sony Ericsson w960i is the best smart phone I've ever had - and I've had a few. Great touch screen, TERRIFIC music capablities (including 8GB storage built in), good web browser (Opera) and full email support.Sometimes you have to go through a couple of screens to many to do stuff, but that is a minor inconvenience. Battery life is OK - won't quite do 2 days of intensive usage, but that's fairly standard these days... Hugely superior to the Nokia N95.- Read mjweston's review (122 words)

At the beginning, when I bought my Sony Ericsson w960i I had mixed feelings. Now after 1.5 weeks I feel more sure and confident. But with 500 euros I paid (796 USD) surely I could bought other better and cheaper mobiles.Think twice before you buy it.- Read Guest's review (161 words)

Believe it or not, I was given the Sony Ericsson w960i phone for FREE! I sent back my W880i several times and in the end they (O2) replaced it with this one. I couldn't believe my luck because I couldn't afford to pay the extra £80 on top of my free upgrade to get it.Anyway...Do you like gadgets? Do you like complicated phones that take time to find your way around? Do you want to be the coolest kid on the block and have everyone want to have a look at your new toy? Then this is the phone ...- Read Fozzplod's review (730 words)

The Sony Ericsson w960 has 8gb with fantastic battery life! lovely looking and great for texting. Great music, sharp pics and video. shed load of fabulous apps. I have had many mobiles(including the Nokia 8Gb,hardly mobile as i was always charging it!!!!!) and this is the best a true technical masterpiece. If you want a mobile that is set up and go this ain't for you. You need to put a lot of love into it and boy does it love you back.- Read caedlin2001's review (96 words)

The Sony Ericsson w960i phone looks and feels great in your hand, it takes great pictures for a music phone and the touchscreen just adds to the fun. Though you cannot use a memory card to save music on - Who needs to with 8GB of built in memory to save your videos, pictures and songs?- Read Guest's review (80 words)

You really need to have a good play with this phone to get it set up the way you want it. I've just set it up so that it vibrates a little when you confirm something when using the touch screen which is great.- Read Guest's review (56 words)

9.9/10 you will not be disappointed, the potential of the unit is huge and is streets ahead of anything else available, the only other real options are n958g & n82 (fail on weak battery life), anything else falls years behind, Apple included!- Read alexander01's review (133 words)

My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson W850. My first impression when I first tried the W960 in the store was not the best, but after I got it on my hands and I started getting used to the touch screen, I loved it!!! I had few difficulties though, as there was a problem when writing specific strings tha resulted to failure of the opened application. I mentioned that to O2, and they quickly replaced it with a new one, as I had it for less than 2 weeks. On the other hand Sony Ericsson replied to m ...- Read ntalikeris's review (654 words)
