I got this phone on the day of release and managed to get it for free. My first impression of the phone was that the size was perfect and felt so nice. After using for a little while I was getting a annoyed of the speed of the system, it seems to be very slow, after now using the phone for nearly a year I have now found that the speed isn't an issue it was just me being impatient.
The Walkman side of the phone is amazing, the easy of loading the songs on is great and the sound even with the… Read Full Review

The Sony Ericsson w960i is the best smart phone I've ever had - and I've had a few. Great touch screen, TERRIFIC music capablities (including 8GB storage built in), good web browser (Opera) and full email support.
Sometimes you have to go through a couple of screens to many to do stuff, but that is a minor inconvenience. Battery life is OK - won't quite do 2 days of intensive usage, but that's fairly standard these days... Hugely superior to the Nokia N95… Read Full Review

But with 500 euros I paid (796 USD) surely I could bought other better and cheaper mobiles.

Think twice before you buy it… Read Full Review

Believe it or not, I was given the Sony Ericsson w960i phone for FREE! I sent back my W880i several times and in the end they (O2) replaced it with this one. I couldn't believe my luck because I couldn't afford to pay the extra £80 on top of my free upgrade to get it.
Anyway...

9.9/10 you will not be disappointed, the potential of the unit is huge and is streets ahead of anything else available, the only other real options are n958g & n82 (fail on weak battery life), anything else falls years behind, Apple included!… Read Full Review

Written on: 24/01/2008 by ntalikeris (8 reviews written)

My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson W850. My first impression when I first tried the W960 in the store was not the best, but after I got it on my hands and I started getting used to the touch screen, I loved it!!! I had few difficulties though, as there was a problem when writing specific strings tha resulted to failure of the opened application. I mentioned that to O2, and they quickly replaced it with a new one, as I had it for less than 2 weeks. On the other hand Sony Ericsson replied to… Read Full Review
