    Loved the Remington Professional S9000 Damage Defence Straightener at first - heats quickly, does not damage my hair. But, having got them for Christmas 2007, they stopped working Nov 2008. Is due to the cable going into the appliance becoming loose. But is poor to not even last a year.

    Either there is a serious design fault with this item, or I have had the sheer bad luck of having 2 sets from a possible faulty batch. Either way, I am less than satisfied, and have only given the 3 marks because they performed reasonably well when they DID work. Otherwise it would have been zero.

    I've had the Remington Professional S9000 Damage Defence Straightener for nearly a year, and I've only started using it a lot recently. It glides through my hair easily, but it can also get caught easily, then pull at my hair.
    It doesn't straighten as well as I would like, but overall, its not too bad.
    The thing that annoys me most is that my hair doesn't stay straight for long after using it, and I have naturally straight hair- it just looks wavy because it's layered - it usually only lasts for ...

    I can only guess previous review has a faulty set, (not unknown for this brand!!) I am really impressed with the results for the price they cost, the first time I used them I had positive comment from eveyone I knew. I found the variable heat settings realy useful of my finer hair and would recommend then
