Good Points: overall security features are good.good design

Bad Points: slows the computer, difficult installation and uninstallation

General comments: although security features are great but since it slows my computer, the overall ease of using computer leaves a sour taste in mouth.it takes a long time in installation and also after uninstallation some of the applications are not removed.a lot of unnecessary pop ups.computer takes a long time during start up.so i would not recommend this product.

Ran badly on my wife's PC and it's hard to figure out why or adjust it without turning off too much (the key things you want checked).
I had Norton antivirus on my machine. Without warning, the software took over my mchine demanding money for an upgrade when I had bought a three pack of the Internet Security pack and was going to cut over if I could get it running decently. It's the worst virus attack I've ever experienced - I lost control of my PC because every five seconds they wanted money.

Norton Internet Security 2007 killed my PC performance - especially the LUCallback/Proxy task. The PC scan finds and fixes the same thing everytime - hardly reassuring that it's doing anything at all. I upgraded from 2004 but the new version had more bugs than the old. I bought it with a 2 year license but after 9 months I can take it no longer. I'm going to buy other software and will never go back to Semantec Software

Despite buying the package in good faith, when I upgraded PCs and entered my product key into the trial version installed on my new PC, Norton didn't recognise my single-user subscription (which still had several months to run). Initially I received some support from Symantec's support team, but this did not resolve the issue as far as I am concerned. I told them their solution hadn't worked, and then heard absolutely nothing. My protection expired and still there was no word from Symantec. I th ...

Good thing is that Norton Internet Security 2007 is an all in one package and it's effective - how effective I don't know because I've used several thereafter which detected far more 'baddies' than Norton! Oh it hogs resources! Whenever you're trying to work, Norton will decide to go look for updates. I re-set everything to manual but it still had some processes which would just start up when you least needed it!

It has been a problem since installation. Half the time an "unexpected error" occurs that disables Auto-Protect. Tried all solutions suggested by Symantec but it still does not work. Impossible to turn Auto-Protect back on unless rebooting. Although Symantec claims that the program is "light" it takes ages to start up. Problems solved when the program was uninstall ed. Installed another anti-virus /internet protection software which works just fine. (Win XP Service Pack2, AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Co ...
