“Not Nice When You Leave”

Written on: 29/05/2014 by 210Gordon (1 review written)

My son started a Netflix account which I funded with my bank card. When we wanted to cancel, as you would expect Netflix allow access to the account until the month you have paid for expires. But there is a catch. They keep your card details even when you have cancelled and there is no way to remove them online, you have to phone them. So I did this and they removed my bank details, but and this is where it gets nasty, when I went back to my account to watch a film I found that I was no longer… Read Full Review

“Great for series, ok for films”

Written on: 08/05/2014 by Keene461 (1 review written)

If you want to watch a series, then this is well worth it. The films are a bit hit and miss but all in all, £6 a month is nothing to watch some really good programs. Only got it for Breaking bad series 5 but I've kept it. Such good value and the stuff on there like House of Cards is also well worth the price per month alone… Read Full Review

“Gift card”

Written on: 04/05/2014 by Demetre (1 review written)

Netflix has provided me with the worst customer service. I was sent a gift card to use from netflix last July, 2013.I redeemed the gift card. I have been charged ever since July 2013 and the gift card was not processed. Some kind of a mix up that they can't explain. Since January 2014, I noticed I was being charged the whole time. I have been calling ever since. I was told it will be working next billing period. It didn't. Called back next month, same thing. Same thing following month. Finally… Read Full Review

“No adverts whoppee!”

Written on: 08/04/2014 by 229Hansen (1 review written)

For a mere £6 a month get off the hamster wheel and start to enjoy TV again. All the stuff you missed and loads of films wow! Got so fed up with same ol same ol and flicking through 40 channels for something good. I don't watch soaps and can never remember when stuff is on so always missing 3 of 4 etc. My head is full of unsolved murders as I constantly miss the last episode. Treat yourself, you'll never look at ordinary TV again… Read Full Review

“Best movie streaming & awesome customer service!!”

Written on: 11/01/2014 by Patty19 (1 review written)

I recently cancelled Satellite then tried cable only to loose service 2-3 days per week though my communications regarding this were a complete waste of my time & entirely useless & my bill never once reflected the lack of service,I received this at times for days on end. No bad weather to blame it on. If you "tried" to call customer service the wait times was ridiculous. So, then enters NETFLIX and it completely renewed my faith in not only a great deal, but the Customer Service is extremely… Read Full Review

“Could do with an update”

Written on: 30/09/2013 by Adibah (1 review written)

Overall it is an inexpensive and good relaxation option but the connection can be unpredictable. The selection is OK but not great an although the fees are reasonable it needs some upgrading to be more accessible. When watching it can suddenly stop streaming and then it is tiresome watching the spinning zero% wondering if you are going to get back to watch the ending. In the competitive market Netflix are holding their place, however as the popularity increases it is vital that the… Read Full Review

“£1.50 a week for a good library of Film and TV”

Written on: 15/09/2013

Where else would you be able to watch unlimited movies and a good selection of TV programmes for £1.50 a week? Better than Lovefilm in its content in my opinion. Very good streaming with BT Infinity. A much cheaper option than Sky movie package. Hopefully there will be regular new content added through the year. The kids love it and my only fear is that the constant watching of the back catalogue will be exhausted before new content is added. Good selection of family friendly films. I think… Read Full Review

Written on: 22/07/2013

i just love Netflix. they added some programs that where on when i was a kid and i watched them lol. i just wished that Netflix would update TV series better like Hulu plus does. there are shows on Netflix that aren't on Hulu like How I Met Your Mother and Bones that i love to watch but aren't updated so after i watch as much as i can on Netflix then i go to Hulu. i have both since Netflix has a better supply of movies and Hulu has better supply of TV series. I would still recommend it to… Read Full Review

“Snow ball effect!”

Written on: 11/06/2013

Netflix is no longer at it's prime. When it first came out, their biggest contract was with Starz which was my initial reason of signing up. Then they split streaming video service with renting a movie and to top it off, they lost Starz. I cancelled Netflix at this point and returned a couple years later because of their selection of shows/movies for kids. It was good for awhile, I let go of cable and even picked up Hulu Plus but now they're losing Nick Jr. shows and already lost yo gabba gabba… Read Full Review

I love netflix - they are adding new shows everyday, Dexter/Downton Abbey/Finding Neverland/Shutter Island... always works well - hardly ever crashes and although some things are a little old - you can always find something worth watching!… Read Full Review

“Good service but not many good films..”

Written on: 13/03/2013

I've had this service since Christmas as I bought a Smart TV.I have to say I'm dissapointed with the film content. Many old films and not many up to date ones. I'll be cancelling my service before I start paying for this. Going to try another provider to see if the content is better. It looks good for TV series but I'd sooner buy the boxset and then sell it after as it would probably work out cheaper… Read Full Review

“Great for TV, not so great for movies”

Written on: 19/02/2013 by meet (1 review written)

After constantly hearing adverts on the radio for netflix I decided to get the 1 month free trial. After this ran out, I have kept my subscription going for the past 6 months. I agree with those that say there are very few 'new' movies. However, I mainly watch the US TV shows, and its great being able to watch a whole series uninterrupted. I've watched 6 seasons of lost, and 8 seasons of 24 are on there. There are also British TV shows like Red dwarf and Dr Who. Generally with TV shows… Read Full Review

“98% Loading”

Written on: 12/11/2012 by as012a2568 (3 reviews written)

I give this a two star rating because I have seen it working on my friends PC. However, when it came to using it on a laptop the Netflix would load to 98% and just hang. I googled for a fix but found this was a frustrating problem with Netflix that seemed to affect a lot of people. Also the content is very outdated and limited in choice. The one upside is the chat help. I wanted to completely delete my Netflix account having spent way too long trying to get it to run past the 98% loading… Read Full Review

“Great Service, Old Content ”

Written on: 30/09/2012 by TicTacUK (2 reviews written)

Hello all, I thought since i have been using Netflix for awhile i would write a short review about it outlining The Good and The Bad of the Netflix Service! For those that don’t know, Netflix is a Movie and TV Streaming service that allows you to stream directly to your computer and other compatible devices. The Good Fast Streaming, I was extremely impressed by how fast i could steam the videos on Netflix, the videos stream much faster than YouTube. Even with my slow 1.5mbit/s internet… Read Full Review

“One in Seven.. ”

Written on: 31/07/2012 by reallyethical (7 reviews written)

One is Seven is the statistic for the number of people in the UK who have a hearing difficulty. Most of these people rely on subtitles / closed captions to experience TV and Film. One is seven is roughly my experience with the ratio of subtitles on Netflix. The range of programs and films is not too bad, and there is a fantastic back catalog. Having said this the lack of effort to make the service accessible for disabled users, makes it appear a very amateur operation. Some people have said… Read Full Review

“A good streaming service”

Written on: 29/07/2012 by Malacath (4 reviews written)

Quite a good streaming service. Their selection of movies could be a lot better but it is slowly improving. They do have a good collection of TV shows though like Breaking Bad. If you know how to trick them into thinking you are in america you can use the american netflix service with your UK account without paying extra. Well worth the £6 a month especially if you don't have Sky. It's even better value if you know how to get the american service as well. I actually cancelled Sky because… Read Full Review

“offline during the day”

Written on: 11/07/2012 by patfox (1 review written)

I signed up for a free trial and was able to watch some of the meagre offerings on two consecutive nights. However, I tried to watch something this morning and after a great deal of fiddling, I got ten minutes and then the film froze. Imagine my frustration when I was unable subsequently to open up Netflix on either one of our two PCs. If I can get to cancel my membership, albeit free at this time, I will most surely do so. Timewasters!… Read Full Review

Had Netflix for a few months now. The content is not brilliant but does have a pretty good back catalogue. Have Sky Broadband so struggle to watch much high definition stuff. I will certainly keep the subscription going just for those lazy evenings where I am looking for something to occupy myself. Hopefully Apple will launch a competing product shortly… Read Full Review
