The location was amazing, the igloos fantastic, and the activities easily kept us busy throughout the day. There is just so much to do, snow mobiling, husky rides, downhill skiing or snowboarding, tobogganing, etc. etc.

And contrary to other reviews we'd read elsewhere, the food was quite reasonable too. However, my only disappointment was the service... especially given how much you pay.

we went for our daughter's new years eve wedding to Kakslauttanen Cabins and Igloos -what a magical trip everyone there was so friendly nothing was to much trouble the cabins are so comfortable totally clean, with 2 bedrooms, master with wet room and sauna,then a second bathroom off the kitchen, hairdryers, shampoo and liquid soap plus lovely white towels all supplied, there are no shops there but for 3.50euros youcan get the local bus into saarriselka village , or the ski bus for 2euros...
