Acer TravelMate 5520 is a good laptop at the cheaper end of the market, the screen is great and it comes with a Vista, a good graphics card (Nvida GEForce 7000M) and a quality Turion 64x2 processor.
Unfortunately it's completely let down by the keyboard and mouse which are just FAR to spongy and sensitive and makes writing e-mails or word processing the most frustrating experience you will EVER experience, the cursor will constantly disappear and then reappear in the wrong place either a...

Overall, a nice computer, very sturdy, i have dropped it several times! The keys came off once but go back on very easy! If anything happens all you have to do is ctrl+alt+del and it starts to work like new! Worth the money! (read more)

It's a good laptop, I wish can have longer extra warranty, not regional but international.
basically, for the price £520, it is a nice and worthwhile notebook, quite like it, runs 3d game smoothly.

The Acer TravelMate 5520 is the only laptop I could find with all the features I needed/wanted at a very reasonable price (£529). Every other laptop (for the same price or more in some cases) was always missing something.
It has a dual core 1.9 GHz processor, 2 Gig of RAM, 4 USB ports, DVI port, Webcam, 160 Gig hard drive, Blue tooth 2.0, 15.4 inch screen, wireless, independent ATI graphics card, Firewire, 5 in 1 card reader and a multi layer DVD rewriter just to name the important...

After purchasing this good spec laptop for the money I was quite pleased with what I had bought. Then it went wrong. Acer has now had my laptop for 6 weeks. They apparently fixed it and sent it back to me for me to find the exact same fault still present, so I had so I had to return it and now haven ' t heard anything from them. I keep phoning and all the uninterested call handlers say is ' waiting for parts '. After this sort service I would not touch an Acer product ever again!

Have you tried removing one of the addresses from the Internet Options Home page setup?? If you have two addresses in there then two tabs will open! Remove an address and only one tab will open.
